Oats are the "third staple food" after rice and wheat. From the table, we can clearly see that the proportion of nutrients in oatmeal is relatively high.
1, protein
The content of protein in cereals is between 7%- 16%, so the content of protein per 100g oatmeal in our table is 15mg, and the first limiting amino acid of most cereal seeds is lysine, with the exception of protein of oats and buckwheat. They are very special, with rich lysine content and high utilization rate.
2, vitamins
The content of B vitamins, especially VB 1 and nicotinic acid, is an important source of these two vitamins in the diet. In addition, it also contains a certain amount of VB2, pantothenic acid and VB6.
3. Minerals
Except the calcium content in oats is 186mg, the calcium content in most grains is still very low.
4. Edible fiber
Oat is one of the few cereals containing both soluble and insoluble dietary fiber.
When we selected oatmeal in the market, we found that there were two kinds of oatmeal, one was 500g oatmeal in bulk, about 3 yuan, and the other was 350g oatmeal, about 6 yuan. The difference between them lies in the different forms of dietary fiber. Bulk oatmeal is mainly insoluble dietary fiber, and the cooking time needs 15-20 minutes. The bagged oatmeal is mainly soluble dietary fiber, and the boiling time is about 3 minutes.
