Who killed Liao?
1On August 20th, 924, Liao, the left-wing leader of the Kuomintang, was assassinated. As the suspect was finally found to be Hu's brother, Hu was naturally suspected to be the murderer behind the scenes, so he had to leave the Kuomintang Central Committee in frustration and take refuge in the Soviet Union.

What is the truth?

A sultry body.

There is a saying that Liao was killed by Chiang Kai-shek.

After Liao's assassination, Bao Luoting, an adviser to the Kuomintang Soviet Union, suggested that Wang Ching-wei, Xu Chongzhi and Chiang Kai-shek organize a special committee to take charge of military and political positions and declare martial law. This is the first time that Chiang Kai-shek participated in the decision-making plan.

Hu's cousin, a major suspect, has been at large; Bao Luoting accused Hu of premeditated, while Hu was placed under house arrest in Huangpu. The Special Committee ordered the arrest of more than 0/0 senior generals of Guangdong Army/KLOC. Later, the special Committee announced that the murderer was peaceful and had nothing to do with Hu, but Hu had been forced to go to the Soviet Union, which was equivalent to being far away from the Kuomintang center.

Two cronies of Liao, Hu and Sun Zhongshan died and stepped down one after another. This incident is almost equivalent to a coup.

Liao's assassination was a crucial moment for Chiang Kai-shek to climb to the top of power, and then Chiang Kai-shek turned around the periphery of the power core circle and soared.

After the reorganization of the revolutionary army, Chiang Kai-shek became the commander of the first army, and soon squeezed out the third possible successor, Xu Chongzhi, Sun Yat-sen's trusted military commander and commander of the fourth army. Then the Zhongshan Ship incident happened, and Wang Jingwei was forced to go abroad. In the subsequent Northern Expedition, Chiang Kai-shek was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the National Revolutionary Army, combining the power of the party, government and army, and finally completed the establishment of power.

Judging from the results, Chiang Kai-shek is the ultimate beneficiary. So for a time, some people suspected that Chiang Kai-shek had planned to kill Liao.

1924 June 16 whampoa military academy opened, with Sun Yat-sen as the prime minister, Liao as the party representative and Chiang Kai-shek as the principal. In the center of the photo is Sun Yat-sen, Liao on the left and Chiang Kai-shek on the left.

Others think that Chiang Kai-shek can't assassinate Liao. They thought that Chiang Kai-shek didn't have enough strength to do the job at that time, and Liao's pro-* * thought was not far from Chiang Kai-shek. Jiang Jingguo, the eldest son of Chiang Kai-shek, went to study in the Soviet Union at this time. Whampoa Military Academy received first-class weapons and equipment from the Soviet Union. Chiang Kai-shek plausibly instructed all students to "obey the leadership of the Third International", "opposing * * means counter-revolution" and "opposing the peasants and workers means serving imperialism".

In fact, before the Liao case happened, there were many forces in the Kuomintang that opposed the cooperation between the state and Liao. Hu's home, the club headed by Hu's cousin, and the home of Wei Bangping, a former Guangdong provincial police chief and an old warlord, are all places where Kuomintang Rightists often gather. They often get together and try to overthrow the national government that cooperated with China and kill Liao. Before and after the Liao case, a group of people went to Wei Bangping's house for a party every night. It is reported that in early August, Zhu and Lin Zhimian, a veteran of the Kuomintang, sat together in the Wenhua Hall, claiming that Liao must be killed. After Lin Zhiming was arrested, he confessed that he had held many meetings in Hu to discuss the issue of "expelling Liao". He also told an amazing inside story: many people who participated in the killing of Liao were important figures in the national government at that time. This list was not published because it involved too much. Therefore, there are different opinions about who is the mastermind of Liao's assassination.
