Because the computer will produce some temporary files, temporary computer system installation files, and temporary Internet files when updating the computer system, these files occupy the space of disk C (system disk) intentionally or unintentionally. Clearing these temporary files (useless files) can expand the available space of drive C.
Below, I will introduce you to the specific operation method:
Step 1: Clean up the system useless files through the C disk properties?
Find disk C in my computer, then right-click to find properties and open the properties panel, as shown in the figure.
Find disk cleaning in the property panel, as shown in the figure.
Click Disk Cleanup, and the Disk Cleanup: Drive Selection Panel will pop up, then select drive C, and click OK to clean the disk. After the scan is completed, you will see the disk cleaning interface. Then select the useless files that occupy a large space, and then click Clean System Files to release some disk space (but this operation will not clean up the original system files, but only clean up some useless system files), as shown in the figure.
Step 2: Clear the last version of the system reservation file through cortana?
Find cortana in the taskbar in the lower left corner of the computer, then open cortana and enter disk cleaning in cortana. In this process, you will find that the first processing function recommended by the computer releases disk space by deleting unnecessary files, as shown in the following figure.
Click to free disk space by deleting unnecessary files, and you will find that the computer will also pop up disk cleaning. Then, you still choose drive C, and then click OK to start disk cleaning. However, after the detection, the disk cleaning interface is different. There is no option to clean system files here, but there are many temporary files detected, which takes up more memory, as shown in the figure.
Select temporary windows installation files, and then the computer will prompt you to permanently delete these files. Select Delete, and then the computer will further prompt you to delete the selected file. If the computer cannot be restored to the previous version, click OK. After deletion, it is found that the computer C disk space (available space) is 7g more, as shown in the figure.
