Shanghai Red House Gynecology Hospital affiliated to Fudan University is one of the oldest maternity hospitals in China. 1884, with the support of Margaret Williamson, an American, two medical missionaries, Elizabeth Rove Schneider and Elizabeth McKechnie, founded Shanghai Ximen Women and Children Hospital, the predecessor of Fudan University Gynecology Hospital.
