Zhao Kuangyin Mausoleum Selection

In 960 AD, after the mutiny in Chen Qiao, Zhao Kuangyin, the imperial robe was added to the body. Like all the founding emperors in history, in order to let their children and grandchildren take power, they all wanted to choose the imperial tomb.

Throughout the ages, from ordinary people to the king of a country, many people are superstitious about choosing a tomb with good feng shui, thinking that it can make a fortune and develop their careers. Zhao Kuangyin is different. He not only considers feng shui, but also considers the future stability of the country.

He believes that there is no danger to defend in Kaifeng, Kyoto-Ma Pingchuan, which is very unfavorable to the stability of the country. We must move the capital in the future. If you choose the imperial tomb, you'd better choose it near Xindu.

Where is the new capital chosen? Zhao Kuangyin first thought of Luo Yang.

Zhao Kuangyin was born in Huoshao Street, Jiamaying, Luoyang, and grew up in Luoyang, so he is too familiar with everything there. However, moving the capital is not a trivial matter, and it must conform to the will of God, the will of ministers and the support of all parties. Besides, the war has just ended and the national strength is weak, so moving the capital is not something that can be decided immediately. However, in order to cause the situation of moving the capital, we should make more fuss about the choice of imperial tombs.

This autumn, Zhao Kuangyin visited Fuxi Mountain in Gongxian County, a Taoist resort. Although it is located in the north, the mountains are cold-resistant, and the temperature in the mountains is much higher than that outside the mountains, showing a southern scenery, with pine, bamboo, sandalwood and vines, lush trees, spring waterfalls and cigarettes in the old temple of Our Lady of Yuxian. Rugged mountains are like cities, protruding from the clouds. Especially on that high mountain, the tea produced is full of fragrance and fascinating. After Zhao Kuangyin tasted tea, he became very interested. He grabbed a pen, made a suggestion and sealed the first tea mountain in the north.

At this time, Zhao Kuangyin had the idea of choosing the imperial tomb in Gugong County (now Gongyi). Gongxian County is the intersection of the Luohe River and the Yellow River. There are pictures of the Luohe River, gossip painted by Fuxi and an altar built by the Yellow Emperor Yan Di, which is a sacred place.

Out of Fuxi Mountain, he led his horse to Luoyang and walked to the foot of a green hill. He asked, "Is this He Shan?" People say, "Qinglong Mountain."

Zhao Kuangyin climbed the Qinglong Mountain overlooking the mountains. Here, the west is connected with the Luohe River, the west of the Luohe River is the undulating Mangshan Mountain, and the north of Mangshan Mountain is the mighty Yellow River. The geographical momentum inspired him deeply.

At this time, a flock of geese flew in the sky. Zhao Kuangyin said to the guard, "Bring a bow and arrow!" The waiter handed the bow and arrow.

Zhao Kuangyin joked: "The place where rabbits beat gongs and geese beat drums is my graveyard a hundred years later!"

As I said, Zhao Kuangyin drew his bow and arrow, and the arrow flew to the array like lightning. This arrow pierced two geese, and the geese fell from the sky whining. At the foot of the mountain, a guard rode to pick up the goose shot by the emperor.

Coincidentally, a village five or six miles away from Qinglong Mountain is called Dengfeng Village. People in Dengfeng Village are beating gongs and drums and dancing lions to celebrate the completion of the new land temple outside the village. The goose shot by the emperor was crooked and people didn't pay attention. Suddenly, two geese landed on two drums. People were stunned. At this time, people saw two yellow rabbits jumping up and flying in front, and several officials rode here behind them. People stopped entertaining and watching, but the two yellow rabbits jumped up and bumped into the gongs hanging on the gong frame respectively, making a melodious and trembling sound.

It turned out that the emperor's bodyguard was in a hurry to pick up the goose and disturbed a pair of rabbits who were foraging in the field. The rabbit panicked and kept flying, which produced the above scene.

The guards picked two geese, weighed two rabbits, and called them the emperor of Qinglong Mountain. The courtiers were very surprised and looked at Zhao Kuangyin one by one.

Zhao Kuangyin smiled and said, "This is God's will, and God knows what I mean!"

The guards praised him and said, "The emperor is really eloquent." .

Zhao Kuangyin led people to the place where geese beat drums and rabbits beat gongs, and designated the cemetery himself. Zhao Kuangyin was the founding emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty, and the Huangling District of the Northern Song Dynasty was located in this hilly area north of Songshan Mountain on the south bank of the Yellow River.
