Liu Shu (570~608), a native of Xiexian County in Hedong, was the son of Liu Ji, an important official of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty. He was young and smart, and used his father's shadow as the guardian of the prince in his early years. During the reign of Emperor Yangdi Huang Kai, Liu Shu married Princess Lanling, the youngest daughter of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, and worshipped Sansi Assistant Minister Kaifu Yitong. Because Emperor Wendi of Sui especially loved Liu Shu among his son-in-law, he was promoted to the post of Minister of War a year later, but he left his job soon because of Ding Fu's worries. When he finished his filial piety at home, he moved to Huangmen Assistant Minister and attacked his father as the Duke of Jian 'an County. At the beginning of Renshou, he moved to the Ministry of War to join the imperial secret. Liu Shu was successful in his youth. He was arrogant and arrogant. At that time, Su Yang of North Korea called him a noble man, and he was very kind to Prince Yang Guang (later emperor Yang Di). Most ministers in North Korea are afraid of him. Liu Shu, relying on Ma Xu and Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, dared to insult Su Yang face to face, and often analyzed his shortcomings in front of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, so Yang Susui made enemies with Liu Shu. In addition, Liu Shu also married Princess Lanling. It turned out that Emperor Wendi of Sui promised to betroth her to Xiao Yun, the princess brother of Prince Yang Guang. Later, for some reason, Emperor Wendi changed his mind and married her to Liu Shu. The prince swallowed his pride and thought Liu Shu was an obstacle. In April of the fourth year of Renshou (AD 604), Emperor Wendi of Sui fell ill in Renshou Palace, and ministers such as Prince, Liu Shu, Su Yang and Yan Yuan, assistant minister of Huangmen, served in the sick palace. Prince Yang Guang took advantage of his father's illness to flirt with Chen Guiren. Emperor Wen was furious when he learned this, and ordered Liu Shu and Yan Yuan to write a letter to Yang Yong (the younger brother of Prince Yang Guang), the king of Fangling, in order to abolish Prince Yang Guang. When Su Yang heard the news, he wrote a letter to the prince, killing Yang Yong, the king of Fangling, and imprisoned him. In July of the fourth year of Renshou, Emperor Wendi died, and Prince Yang Guang succeeded to the throne and became the emperor of Yang Di. Later, Yang Di demoted his brother-in-law Liu to Huizhou and ordered Princess Lanling to remarry. According to Biography of Women in Sui Shu, Princess Lanling married by Liu Shu is the youngest daughter of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, ranking fifth. She is beautiful, graceful and easy to read, and won the love of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty. She/Kloc-married Liu Shu when she was 0/8 years old. After marriage, I respected my wife. I was very careful with my uncle and aunt. People praised it at that time. Yang Di demoted Liu Shu to Huizhou and ordered her to remarry. She decided to come to Huizhou with Liu Shu. She wrote to Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty and said, "The former emperor used concubines to serve the Liu family, and now he is guilty. I should sit down and don't want your majesty to bend the law to repay the kindness." But Emperor Yang Di disagreed with his sister's request and insisted that she remarry. Princess Lanling died in all kinds of helplessness at the age of 32. Before she died, she wrote to Emperor Yang Di: "Although I am guilty, I secretly admire the ancients;" Life is not allowed to be a husband and buried in the Liu family. " After Princess Lanling died, Yang Di buried her in hongdu river. The gift was very thin, which hurt the ruling and opposition parties. Liu Shu was the first guest exiled by the imperial court after Huizhou became a county (state, government). Liu Shu lived in Huizhou for about three years, and moved to Ningyue County (now Qinzhou, Guangxi) around the 4th year of Daye (AD 608). Unfortunately, he contracted leprosy and died at the age of 39. Unfortunately, Princess Lanling was stopped by Yang Di and failed to follow Liu Shu to Huizhou.
