There are nearly 300,000 mu of Populus euphratica forest in Wuerhe District, which is mainly the original Baiyang River Grand Canyon scenic spot between Baikouquan and Wuerhe City. Every late autumn, there is a beautiful golden and resplendent Populus euphratica forest here, which only attracts more than 1,000 tourists from go on road trip and tour groups from all over the country every day. The Populus euphratica forest here is tall and dense, and the locals call it three thousand years old because it is immortal for thousands of years. Because Populus euphratica forest, as a unique tree species in Xinjiang, has taken root and sprouted in saline-alkali land, and can still stand after three thousand years of ups and downs, this spirit is praised by our people. There are rabbits, squirrels, antelopes and other animals in Populus euphratica forest.
Three, Baiyanghe Grand Canyon
Baiyanghe Grand Canyon is a valley wetland with lush trees and beautiful scenery. It is located in Wuerhe District, Karamay City, Xinjiang, and it is the reach from Baiyanghe Reservoir to Wuerhe. It is 24 kilometers long, with an average width of about 400 meters, a narrowest point of about 200 meters and a widest point of about 600 meters. The banks on both sides are very steep, mostly Cretaceous light brown mudstone and sandstone, about 20~30 meters high.
