Our first topic is the safe use of skin care essential oil, which I think is the most important issue at present. There are too many introductions about essential oils on the Internet, but the correct use of aromatic essential oils is directly related to whether it will cost money. Essential oils really can't be used casually.
1. Dosage of essential oil: I'm talking about pure natural pure essential oils for skin care, and mixed, synthetic and diluted ones are not discussed). As we all know, the more essential oils, the better. The amount of essential oil is very small.
1. Blend facial essential oil massage oil: the total concentration of essential oil at the first time shall not exceed 1%.
People often ask me what tools I need. Many people think that one bottle is not enough. In fact, the professional unilateral essential oil bottle itself has a dropper. Note that it is not a dropper, because the glue head of the dropper is easily corroded by pure essential oils.
20 drops is about 1 ml.
Some people think that it is impossible to estimate the proportion with base oil. In fact, for example, if you put it in a container, you must know the capacity of the container itself. Suppose a bottle in your hand is 30ml, then you pour half of the base oil, which is 15ml. If it is facial massage oil, the total amount of essential oil (whether you add a single essential oil or three) should not exceed 1% of the base oil, that is, 3 drops; 100ml base oil is 1ml essential oil, 20 drops; If it is body massage oil, such as massage oil for weight loss, breast enhancement and hair care, it can be gradually increased to 3%
Single essential oil refers to a single kind of essential oil, such as lavender, tea tree and tea tree. Compound essential oil refers to the mixture of two or more single essential oils. Compound essential oil massage oil refers to compound essential oil+base oil. Massage oil can be used directly on the skin, but single essential oil and compound essential oil cannot. Only after dilution with base oil can it be used safely for a long time. Some essential oils, such as lavender and tea tree, lemon, benzoin and chamomile, and carrot seed essential oil can be temporarily applied locally to the problem skin in a small amount. As long as it is not used in large quantities for a long time, temporary emergency is still possible. It's not that some people on the Internet say that only lavender and tea tree essential oil can directly contact the skin. In fact, if used correctly, many essential oils can be directly applied to the affected area. If used improperly, tea tree essential oil may be toxic! Isn't it common that beauty salons can't get out of bed because of excessive use of lavender essential oil?
But to tell a true story, a good friend of mine just went to double eyelid surgery and had his stitches removed a week later, which startled the doctor and said that he had never seen a wound that healed so well. Not only is it not swollen, but the pinhole is actually not obvious. My friend told him that it was because she used pure mint dew to reduce swelling, and then applied pure lavender every day according to my recommendation. Even the nurse next to the doctor was surprised to say that lavender essential oil was really effective.
To sum up:
Face: The sum of single essential oils (usually 3-4 kinds of single essential oils are used in a formula) is 0% of the sum of 65438+ base oils (also a mixture of 2 and 3 base oils). It is particularly emphasized here that the neck is also sensitive, and the concentration recommendation is the same as that of the face.
Body massage oil and hair care massage oil: 2% to 3%
Fragrance-free emulsion fragrance-free shampoo or emulsion made of vegetable oil and pure dew, the addition ratio of essential oil shall not exceed 0.5%.
Christine's message:
I don't think the concentration of essential oil is very important, as long as the skin is not allergic, there is no problem. More importantly, the total amount of essential oil used in a day. If the massage oil contains 1% essential oil, but it is absorbed by bathing, incense and other means at the same time, so that the total amount of essential oil absorbed by the body reaches a certain amount, it may also cause harm to the body. Moreover, this kind of damage can not be revealed in a day and a half, and the damage to liver and kidney may be the result of long-term accumulation. So control the total amount of essential oil, and don't focus on the concentration. Of course it's not disfigured, let alone damaged the liver and kidneys, right? I don't think we should use more than 2 drops a day.
Dai Yi bug reply:
What you said is so good that it is clearer than what I said. I am very sensitive to essential oils, so I pay special attention to the concentration of essential oils. If a person is not particularly sensitive to essential oil, she may be able to tolerate high concentration of essential oil massage oil, but if the total amount of essential oil used in one day is too large, it may be too late to be allergic, and it will lead to essential oil poisoning.
How to use essential oil massage oil:
After washing your face, when the skin is still full of water (you can also apply water such as pure dew to your face 10 minute), apply 4 or 5 drops to your palm, which is a kind of pressure. After fully rubbing, gently press it on the skin with enough water, gently push it along the lymphatic direction, collect it at the hair, ears or lymph nodes of the body (shea butter is also used in this way), and then you can continue to use the night cream.
Essential oil massage oil is similar to lymphatic detoxification, and the key is to be gentle. If you want to massage for a few minutes, you need to use more essential oil massage oil, otherwise the skin will absorb quickly and it will not be easy to push. If there is still unabsorbed oil slick after massage, just press a piece of paper to absorb it, without washing your face and toner.
I think the best order is soaping, hydrating, essential oil massage oil, nutritious mask (not needed every day), emulsion or cream.
Pure dew or aloe vera gel diluent has the best effect on hydrating the face, but my experience is that it is not necessary to apply it every day, and the effect may be better two or three times every other day or week. You can usually pat with moisturizing lotion or essence.
However, hydrating is not equal to moisturizing. You should continue to lock the water with moisturizing things, or you will replenish water in vain. Oily skin will also lock up water because it doesn't need moisturizing things, which will lead to excessive sebum secretion by sebaceous glands, so the pores will become larger and still feel greasy but without moisture.
have a bath
Algae soaking is one of the best treatments and relaxation methods. However, because the essential oil is almost insoluble in water, it will form an invisible film-like suspended substance on the water surface. Therefore, never drop pure essential oils directly into algae water. You must first make the essential oil into water-soluble essential oil. Tween 20 can be used as emulsifier, and the ratio of Tween to essential oil is 4: 1. It can be used after being fully mixed. Moreover, whole milk can dissolve a small amount of essential oil. These are all soaked seaweed.
Different essential oils are added differently. Generally speaking, a pot of bubble algae water should not exceed 6 drops of pure essential oils. Water-soluble essential oil should not exceed 20 drops. Stir by hand before entering the bathtub.
Incense: the most classic aromatherapy
Incense is to add water to the tray of incense burner, add 1 to the water, 2 drops of your favorite essential oil, and light a small candle. Generally, the incense time should not exceed 1 hour, and indoor ventilation should be maintained. After that, open the window completely and don't let yourself stay in a room full of essential oil fragrance for a long time. Essential oils are easily poisoned. Of course, the professional incense burner design is in place, and the water on the plate is absolutely not allowed.
Essential oil is the essence of plants, which stimulates our immunity and body function to restore balance. Much like drugs, we must give our body's excretory system time to completely excrete it.
Many people have asked about the formula of essential oil. In fact, aromatherapy is very similar to traditional Chinese medicine and belongs to empirical research. At present, there is no so-called standard formula or proportion, and everyone needs to try it according to their own and others' experience, the characteristics of essential oil and their own situation. And your feelings are the most important and need to be constantly adjusted. You can't copy other people's formulas. Of course, we use some classical formulas.
Generally, the proportion of heavy essential oils is smaller than that of mild essential oils, such as lavender, which generally accounts for a relatively large proportion, such as roses, chamomile and thyme. , and must be added less; However, lavender is not foolproof, and some lavender essential oils can't be added because of their heavy ingredients and great irritation.
I just consulted a gynecologist and learned that mammary gland hyperplasia is caused by too much estrogen in the body, which stimulates lobular hyperplasia of the breast, while progesterone (progesterone) protects the breast too little, which is mostly caused by endocrine disorders caused by emotional and physiological cycles. No special treatment is needed, just pay attention to regulating endocrine. For example, don't stay up late, don't be angry and anxious, and nervousness will also temporarily disrupt endocrine;
According to this truth, I think people with mammary gland hyperplasia can't use essential oils that stimulate estrogen, such as roses, fennel and sage, but they can use essential oils that regulate endocrine. Vitex negundo essential oil is probably the only essential oil that can stimulate the increase of progesterone, so my breast hyperplasia massage oil formula will definitely add Vitex negundo essential oil; I don't know if my understanding is correct. Welcome to discuss.
Quite a few essential oils belong to the plant hormone system, that is, plant hormones, and there are also many flower essential oils such as roses, although they are not plant hormones &; from = forum 16 " target = _ blank & gt; Phytohormones are very easy to stimulate human estrogen secretion, but not all plant essential oils are phytohormones, just as not all roses are red. Therefore, essential oil should be used correctly, otherwise it is as dangerous as medicine.
2. I will try my best to avoid professional/abstract language and let everyone understand some basic concepts involved in aromatherapy, so don't pick too professional questions. Just keep your spirits up.
1 Definition of essential oil:
Essential oil is a highly concentrated volatile substance extracted from various aromatic plants, including flowers, grass leaves, needles and twigs, peels, seeds, trees and roots. All plants will carry out photosynthesis, and its cells will secrete aromatic molecules, which will converge into sachets and spread on petals, leaves or trunks. After extracting the sachet, it becomes what we call "plant essential oil".
Essential oils can be composed of more than 250 different molecules. Under the arrangement of nature, these molecules coexist in perfect proportion, which makes each plant have its own particularity, so the mysterious effect of essential oil on human body is extremely extensive.
In terms of composition, essential oil is definitely not oil. The chemical composition of essential oil is very complicated, and not every ingredient has been found. Generally speaking, the most common essential oil components include olefins and their derivatives (mainly pinene, ester, acetaldehyde, ketone, ethanol (alcohol), benzene and oxide, etc. ), which plays the role of immunity, reproduction and protection for plants themselves, many of which are equivalent to plant hormones, so it will also affect the human endocrine and immune system.
Essential oil has a small molecule, strong permeability and strong volatility, which is one of the reasons why it has a quick and magical effect. Essential oil fragrance enters the blood circulation system of the body through our olfactory system; Essential oil massage, essential oil molecules can enter the blood through the skin, so don't think that the so-called ovarian care massage oil will only stay near the ovary. In fact, any essential oil will circulate to the whole body through the blood after entering the human body, but some essential oils have special maintenance effects on certain organs.
Essential oil can be dissolved in vegetable oil or alcohol such as alcohol. Therefore, alcohol is one of the simple methods to detect the purity of essential oil. If a drop of 95% alcohol 10ml cannot be dissolved by shaking, it means that other substances may be mixed in. But further analysis is needed. But carrot seed essential oil is an exception, so many friends think that half of it should belong to the category of base oil, and I am also studying it.
Many substances contained in essential oil * * * work together and balance each other. The effect of mixing two kinds of unilateral essential oils is not simple addition, and the two kinds of essential oils will react to increase the curative effect. What I want to say here is that lavender essential oil is absolutely necessary and has a wide range of uses, which can enhance the curative effect of the formula.
Regarding the shelf life of essential oil, my opinion is that essential oil is a natural preservative and will never rot, so there is no problem that it cannot be used. However, there are also very effective components in essential oil, which are easily lost due to improper preservation, so the taste and effect after 1 may be different and may not reach some of our expected effects, so it should be called shelf life. But it can still be used, for example, I bought several unilateral essential oils from Australia and France. It's been six years now, and I don't think the taste has changed significantly. Other people's bottles are all good. So as long as the taste state of your essential oil does not change obviously after several years, you can continue to use it, and there is no problem with incense, algae and skin care. My friend's mother took out the essential oil distributed by her company 30 years ago, and used it today, which is better than the one bought in the pharmacy now, probably because all manufacturers used essential oil raw materials 30 years ago.
In addition, the skin's adaptability to essential oils is actually very strong. Although many people often use all kinds of skin care products and cosmetics, the skin is not always allergic, unless the skin's immunity is not good, or it is really destroyed too much, and finally it collapses, so problems such as allergies, acne and dryness come out. Massage oil with essential oil for the first time, the effect is often the most obvious, and then the skin adapts. It doesn't feel so sensitive, which is why some people suggest changing the essential oil formula frequently. Although you may feel that the fever is not obvious, the blood-activating effect of essential oil has not disappeared, but it is still working.
Base oil.
The purity of essential oil is too high to directly protect the skin, and it will irritate the skin. When preparing massage oil, essential oil can be used in large quantities. Generally, the base oil is cold-rolled vegetable oil (because only the acidity of cold-rolled oil is lower than 1%, which will not irritate the skin, and the edible oil sold in supermarkets is mostly hot-rolled and not suitable for skin care; Moreover, vegetable oil molecules are smaller than animal oil and mineral oil, which will not hinder the skin's absorption of essential oil. ) such as olive oil, sweet almond oil, wheat germ, jojoba, grape seed, rose hip oil, camellia oil, evening primrose oil, perilla seed oil, etc. They are all base oils, and some base oils have good curative effects themselves, which can assist essential oils to play their roles.
We discussed whether rose hip oil can be used to remove spots and whiten skin. Personally, I think the explanation is actually not translated properly, which leads to confusion. I think rose hip oil is very suitable for whitening, scar removal, wrinkle removal and dry skin. It is not suitable for Doby skin. Try not to use it in large quantities during the day, because I think the more nutritious things are, the less suitable for sunshine, and it is safest to use them at night. And rose hip oil, such as jojoba oil, wheat germ oil, evening primrose oil, etc. It is a base oil that is not suitable for individual use. It is best to mix with sweet almond oil or grape seed oil as base oil for a long time, otherwise it will be allergic after one week.
Generally, two or three kinds of base oils are compounded together, and the effect is better than that of using one alone, because they can learn from each other.
3 pure dew:
The so-called "pure dew" refers to the water left by essential oil during distillation and extraction, which is a by-product of essential oil. As the temperature of distillate decreases, some saturated components will be separated. Because of different densities, essential oil will float on it and water will settle on it, which is called "pure dew". Some manufacturers also call it flower water. In fact, as long as it is refined in this tamper-free way, it should all say one thing. Because the definition of flower water is very broad, I like to use the name Pure Dew.
Pure dew contains a small amount of "acid" and "fat" substances, and its chemical structure is different from that of ordinary pure water, which is very helpful for body conditioning. Pure dew not only contains trace essential oil, but also contains many water-soluble substances in plants. It is a saturated liquid.
Pure dew is mainly "plant water-soluble substances", but it has no unique fragrance of essential oil. On the contrary, it is similar to the smell of human blood filled with various minerals. Plant roots absorb earth mineral nutrients and geothermal water and transport them to stems, branches, leaves and other parts, thus thriving. This mixture of earth mineral nutrients and geothermal water is a "plant water-soluble substance". 100% pure dew of plant water-soluble substances contains mineral nutrition that essential oil lacks. Therefore, pure dew and essential oil have similarities and differences, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. In addition, pure dew also has the effects of replenishing water, controlling oil and astringing skin. On this basis, different pure dew also has various therapeutic and maintenance functions.
How to use:
Can be used as toner every day, which can not only replenish water, but also improve the problem skin to a certain extent; It can be soaked in facial mask paper, which can not only calm the skin, but also eliminate the fatigue of the skin at the end of the day, and the hydrating effect is better.
You can also use facial mask and DIY emulsion cream. Different pure dew has its unique efficacy.
Must pure dew (aloe stock solution) be diluted?
As long as it is not allergic and feels good, it can be used without dilution.
If dilution is required, what is the dilution ratio?
Everyone's dilution ratio is different and needs to be adjusted according to the pH of your skin. I don't have to dilute it myself now. I used to dilute the pure dew to 30% ... it's best to dilute it with pure water, and other water can't guarantee safety. It is best to apply 10 minutes. If you find that the middle of the mask paper is a little dry, please replenish water. Pay attention to the sensitivity test and dilute the pure water slightly.
Rose Pure Dew: Mainly used for whitening, hydrating and moisturizing. Usually suitable for any skin (except some acne skin), especially for mature, dry and aging skin. The pure dew of roses smells good. Among all pure dew, oil control is the worst and moisturizing is the best.
Lavender Pure Dew: It is also very suitable for oily skin and mixed skin. It can promote cell regeneration, prevent acne marks, dilute acne marks and improve fragile and tired skin. It can also be used as toilet water at home to treat mosquito bites.
Orange Blossom Pure Dew: Orange Blossom Pure Dew promotes cell regeneration and makes skin full of vitality, which is very beneficial to both skin and women. Usually used to repair and brighten mature, aged and wrinkled skin, it also has a good calming effect on sensitive skin, and also has a good repairing effect on pits and scars left by acne skin.
Chamomile pure dew: anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, promoting the metabolism of skin toxins, reducing bacterial reproduction and infection, improving the antibacterial ability of skin white blood cells, preventing and eliminating the breeding of acne, balancing oil secretion and tightening pores. The effect of treating allergic inflammation is the best, but it is easy to cause allergies because of its strong medicinal properties.
Tea Tree Pure Dew: What acne skin needs most is its good oil control.
Mint Pure Dew: It is most suitable for oily skin and allergic skin, calming and diminishing inflammation.
Geranium pure dew: the best pure dew to balance sebaceous glands
Pure lemon dew: obtained by distilling lemon peel, not a by-product of lemon essential oil, because lemon essential oil is often cold-rolled; Whitening and brightening effect is very good, slightly irritating.
But we should also pay attention to the use of natural pure dew that has passed the sensitivity test, because maybe your skin and mine are all black and blue under the erosion of chemical substances, accustomed to the chemical environment, and have rejected pure plant substances. ......
How to preserve pure dew, do you like bad answers?
The real pure dew is distilled, and the water contains a lot of trace elements and their water-soluble essential oil components, which have antibacterial ability and generally do not rot. Only when it is polluted will it rot. Undiluted pure dew can be sealed for at least one year even without refrigerator.
Pure dew is already a saturated liquid of water-soluble components of plants, and it is too late to dilute it, so please don't add anything, especially essential oil, for safety reasons! As I said before, essential oil is not very soluble in water, nor in pure dew.
Feelings written by other friends in the supplementary post:
Lc _ Peng
Bug, I diluted it with Chamomile Pure Dew last night (about 20%) and put it on my face with mask paper 10 minutes. Then I saw that there were many left (I didn't know the number at first). Apply a cotton pad to your eyes for 5 minutes (I forgot to buy an eye mask last time), and pat your face after application. . . The skin is soft and smooth, and DD can be absorbed quickly in the later period. My skin has always been good, but I have never tried this feeling, which makes me so excited. Give me a kiss first, but then I remembered, will there be any problem with pure dew? There seems to be nothing wrong with looking in the mirror today. I think if I have a good command of concentration, there should be no problem. But it is better to ask.
Dai Yi Follow-up: lc _ Peng, your experience is what most people feel after using Pure Dew. The essence behind is very easily absorbed by the skin, so it feels particularly good. Chamomile Pure Dew can be applied to eyes. Don't worry, pure rose dew will do.
Starting from 20% is very safe for you. This concentration is estimated to be applied every day.
Regarding pure dew, it is estimated that there is no so-called standard to test it in the world, and we can only rely on our own experience. If you have been exposed to real pure dew, you will know when you smell fake pure dew; If it is diluted pure dew, it may be difficult to judge how much it has been diluted. There is a simple way to dilute two kinds of pure dew to 10 times with pure water to see which is stronger and which is purer. You got it?
There is no testing standard of aromatherapy grade essential oil in China, most of which are national standards of daily chemical grade, and some essential oils also have pharmaceutical grade standards such as tea tree essential oil; It is also a preliminary judgment based on experience, which can be further judged by dripping water and alcohol test, but the final basis is to do GC test, so as to fundamentally analyze whether it is pure essential oils or not and how the quality is.
Dry skin:
Pure rose dew or geranium dew needs good moisturizing after it is fully hydrated. Suitable essential oils are lavender, sandalwood, rose, geranium, rose grass, orange blossom and jasmine. However, it should be noted that the essential oil massage oil has almost no moisturizing function because it is almost absorbed by the skin. After using essential oil to wake up the skin, you should still pay attention to using moisturizing products. For example, shea butter is particularly good, moisturizing and natural sunscreen; If pure shea butter is too greasy, you can use an emulsion or cream containing shea butter. For example, all my DIY lotions must contain shea butter and aloe vera. Of course, the moisturizing effect of the emulsion added with hyaluronic acid will be better.
Oily skin:
The oil glands are too active. Generally, many degreasing products can't help the skin balance. In order to replenish the removed oil, the skin stimulates glands to secrete more oil, resulting in a vicious circle. Essential oil can help sebaceous glands operate in a balanced way and maintain normal sebaceous glands. Suitable essential oils include cedar, lavender, geranium, cypress, lemon, frankincense, bitter orange leaf, rosemary, jasmine and ylang ylang. Pure dew is rich in organic acids and has excellent oil control and convergence effect! In addition to rose pure dew is not suitable for some acne-prone skin, almost all pure dew is very suitable for oily skin; Many friends who have used aromatherapy products for a while have found that the skin is slowly becoming neutral, so they should pay attention to adjusting the formula.
Mixed skin:
In fact, most people's skin is mixed, and probably only babies have normal neutral skin. After years of characterization, our skin is more or less oily or dry. Geranium essential oil or pure dew is an ideal balancing agent for all kinds of skin, because geranium itself has the characteristics of balancing sebum secretion, and both oily dry and mixed skin can benefit from geranium's balancing characteristics. Other suitable essential oils include chamomile, rosewood, lavender and ylang ylang.
Acne:
If it is a simple acne, it is very easy to treat, and it is good to control oil, diminish inflammation and converge. Suitable essential oils are tea tree, lavender, cedar, cypress, pine needle, chamomile, geranium, rose grass, neroli, bergamot, vetiver and ylang ylang. Suitable pure dew can be found in the oily skin above;
If it is detoxification or allergic acne, you need to use essential oils with detoxification and repair functions, such as chamomile, lavender, vanilla, juniper, fennel, pine needle, cedar, etc. Choose chamomile or mint pure dew.
Blackhead acne:
This is a sulfide produced by skin cells, which will be oxidized to black when exposed to oxygen in the air, forming black grease and accumulating in pores. Therefore, regular use of cleansing oil to keep pores deep clean is the foundation of prevention. For the blackheads that have already formed, you can massage them with cleansing oil or apply essential oil massage oil to help soften the blackheads, open the pores with steam, and then gently squeeze them out. After cleaning, gently massage with essential oil massage oil can help slow down the regeneration of blackheads. However, because these parts are usually oily skin, after applying massage oil for skin absorption for five to ten minutes, the oil on the surface can be wiped clean with facial tissue. Suitable essential oils are lemon grass, lavender, sage, cypress, cedar, bergamot, thyme and sweet orange. Then remember to use mint pure dew to astringe pores, calm down and diminish inflammation.
Large pores:
Deep pores are not clean, which leads to large pores over time, so it is especially important to keep pores clean. I'm afraid only cleansing oil can solve this problem. Friends who don't wear makeup also need to use cleansing oil twice a week to keep deep pores clean. Then apply pure dew with astringent effect 10 minute. If necessary, you can also use essential oil massage oil, which can help pores to return to normal size as soon as possible, improve the feeling of being too thick and avoid further deterioration. Suitable essential oils are cypress, chamomile, cedar, geranium, lemon grass, rose and lavender.
Sallow, dull skin:
Suitable essential oils are carrot seed, sweet orange, neroli, lemon, lavender and tea tree. Carrot seed essential oil has good antioxidant function. The taste of sweet orange is very sweet, and it can also stimulate the production of collagen in the skin and make the skin bright. Both orange blossom and tea tree can promote the metabolism of skin cells, and the whitening of lemon is well known.
Anti-wrinkle, skin rejuvenation and anti-aging skin;
For aging skin, it is especially necessary to resist oxidation, activate cells and maintain skin elasticity and color. According to the age and skin aging stage, the applicable essential oils are also slightly different. Doing a good maintenance habit from an early age helps to maintain the consistent vitality of the skin.
Suitable for 20~30 years old: orange blossom, lavender, geranium, carrot seed, chamomile,
Suitable for 30~40 years old: rose, fennel, carrot seed, sage, patchouli, rose grass and sandalwood.
Suitable for 40~50 years old: orange blossom, frankincense, fennel, rosemary, carrot seed, lemon, lavender, rose and sandalwood.
Suitable for 50~60 years old: rose, orange blossom, carrot seed, myrrh, sandalwood, frankincense and lavender.
Some essential oils, such as orange blossom, carrot seed, rose, lavender, etc. In fact, they are suitable for every age group, because they have the function of anti-oxidation or rejuvenation, and can be said to be the basic essential oil for anti-aging.
Sensitive skin:
Chamomile is the most representative essential oil to relieve sensitive skin. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find good quality chamomile essential oil all over the world. Secondly, lavender, vanilla, rose, orange blossom and jasmine can also be used to regulate the allergic phenomenon of sensitive skin, and the concentration must be very low, otherwise it will be more allergic; Choose chamomile or mint pure dew.
Dark circles and wrinkles:
The eyes are the windows to the soul. Wrinkles or dark circles around the eyes can make people look premature for ten years, but the skin around the eyes doesn't even have sebaceous glands at all, which means that the skin there doesn't need oil to care for, so I generally don't recommend you to care for your eyes with oily things. In addition, you can't let a little essential oil enter your eyes, even diluted essential oil will seriously irritate your eyes.
If essential oil must be used for massage oil, it is suggested that the concentration ratio of essential oil be reduced by half (only one drop of essential oil is needed for base oil of 10 ml), and the blended base oil should be light grape seed oil or jojoba oil as far as possible. After massage, after the excess oil is absorbed by the skin, gently wipe it off.
Personally, it is a better eye care method to add a little eye gel extracted from chamomile ice crystals, such as millet grass. Sometimes I will add some rose essential oil, geranium essential oil or sweet orange essential oil at the request of my friends to enhance the curative effect.
Is it necessary to use cream after blending essential oil with base oil for massage?
Because most plant base oils have small molecules and strong skin absorbability, they can't stay on the skin surface for a long time, so they can't form an absorbable protective film on the skin surface like ordinary emulsion cream, and their moisturizing performance is not ideal, so it is necessary to use moisturizing products after essential oils. However, since aromatic products are used for skin care, we should try to avoid using chemical skin care products, although it is not particularly contradictory. However, it does not rule out the conflict between additives and essential oils in chemical skin care products, so it is recommended that you use natural oils with relatively good moisturizing properties, such as shea butter, which has natural sunscreen function and excellent moisturizing repair. Many men use jojoba oil to moisturize their oily skin.
Friends who really like the moisturizing feeling of cream can try their own DIY lotion, which is very simple. Just add emulsifier to the oil and mix it with water. Please refer to my emulsifier description for the specific proportion. More water is emulsion, less cream, and friends who like cold cream add a little wax.
