Method 1: Visual inspection.
When measuring body fat percentage, most people prefer "visual method", that is, estimating their body fat percentage by referring to the body fat comparison chart. Although this method is convenient, the measurement results are often biased and the reference value is low.
Method 2: Formula method
Most formulas for calculating body fat rate take weight and waist circumference as parameters, but unless the whole body fat is evenly distributed, the body fat rate measured by people with thin upper body is often low, and vice versa.
Method 3: waist-hip ratio
Waist-hip ratio = waist circumference/hip circumference, female waist-hip ratio; 0.9 is obesity, but the value of "waist-hip ratio" often reflects the amount of visceral fat. Usually, the thicker the waist circumference, the higher the visceral fat content, and more emphasis is placed on measuring whether the body is healthy.
Method 4: Sebum forceps
"Sebum forceps" calculate the body fat rate by measuring the thickness of subcutaneous fat. Usually, the gym has a high utilization rate of private education. They are used to measure students' fat content regularly. When measuring local body fat percentage, sebum forceps have a high reference degree.
Method 5: Body fat weighing
When the user stands barefoot on the body fat scale, it is the most convenient and accurate method to measure body fat by measuring the resistance value of the body through micro-current, so as to calculate the body fat rate of the user.
