The feature film Du Fu Youth, directed by Wang Lilin and starring Wu Kangren and Chen Zeyao, premiered at the 37th Frejborg Film Festival from March 6 to 9, 2023. The film tells the story of a pair of brothers who have no identity cards and are stateless. They are struggling for survival at the bottom of society in Du Fu Baska, Malaysia. In the process of searching for their original parents and birth certificates, they were accidentally involved in a murder case and got into trouble.

In 2020, after Golden Horse Venture Capital won the award for Du Fu Youth, Wang Lilin spent two years adjusting the script. On June 1 day, 2022, it officially opened in Kuala Lumpur; On July 5, the film was finished. Wu Kangren, the leading actor, went to Malaysia to make preparations one month before he started, and lost 8 kilograms. This film is the first time that Wang Lilin has been a director and Li Xinjie has been a producer.

Abang and Adi, who have no ID cards, drag out an ignoble existence in the old Du Fu migrant workers' residential area. He just wants to make money and leave this disgusting place with his brother. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Ka Eun Lee, a social worker, they volunteered to help trace the information of their original parents and birth certificates.

However, her kindness led to an accident, and at the same time, Abang and Adi got into trouble again. Du Fu Youth focuses on the narrative space of migrant workers settling in Malaysia, and shows the hard life of surplus workers at the bottom who lack social recognition.
