Donghu Park is located in the eastern suburb of the county seat, about 2 kilometers away from the center of the county seat. The water area of the lake area is about 18 hectares, and the land area of the lake shore is 18 hectares. The park was built in 1983, mainly for viewing and water entertainment. In the early days of liberation, the artificial lake digging area was 37.3 hectares (560 mu) and the storage capacity was 6.5438+million cubic meters. There are three islands in the lake, the largest of which is in the middle, and a hexagonal pavilion is built on it, which is colorful; Five Archs Bridge, Curved Bridge and Jumping Pier are all connected with the river bank. A 3-meter-high statue of Lei Feng stands head-on in the ornamental garden, giving people a solemn feeling. Standing opposite the statue of Lei Feng is the legendary Eight Immortals stone carving. There are many kinds of exotic flowers and herbs in the park, including more than 40 kinds of plants and flowers, more than 30 kinds of ornamental trees, goldfish pond, swimming pool, workers' club, youth palace and so on. There is also a fish restaurant for tourists to taste delicious fresh fish.
