Guannan county Martyrs Cemetery was founded in 1959, located in the center of the county. 1972 moved from Renmin east road south to north. The cemetery covers an area of about 86 mu, with a total area of 57,600 square meters (east-west 180 meters, north-south 320 meters). The main memorial buildings in the park are: the magnificent revolutionary martyrs memorial tower stands in the center of Hero Square in the south of the cemetery, and the glass hexagonal pavilion of Biwahu Lake is built in the north of the tower. After the pavilion, the tomb of the martyrs in Jiefang Xin 'an Town is solemn, with two famous memorial pavilions, Wu Shu and Tang Shuhong, on both sides of the tomb. There is a curved bridge running through the ornamental fish pond in the north, leading to the Guannan People's Revolutionary Memorial Hall, and the martyrs' tomb area in the east. The whole park is lush and green.

The purpose of the construction of guannan county Martyrs Cemetery is mainly to commemorate the martyrs who died heroically for the liberation of Xin 'an Town in our county on 1947 10/6. 1947 1 October16th, the 3rd1column, 9th1brigade and 92nd regiments of the 1st1brigade of the Central China Field Army surrounded the 4th Division of the Kuomintang entrenched in Xin 'an Town, our county. The 93rd Regiment encircled the enemy at the Wuzhanghe stronghold and was in charge of Dayuan. 17, the battle started. After a day and a night of fierce fighting, our army captured Xin 'an town in one fell swoop, killing and injuring more than 550 prisoners, and seized 4 guns, 4 light and heavy machine guns 19, 430 long and short guns, and a large number of ammunition and military supplies. Since then, Xin 'an Town has been liberated. In this battle, our army suffered 3 10 casualties, including cadres 12. Zhang, director of the political department of the 92nd regiment, company commander of the 3rd company, instructor, company commander of the 9th company, company commander of the machine gun, company commander of the 9th1regiment, company commander Chen, company commander of the 5th company Wu Jingsheng and company commander of the 6th company Shi Zhaokui died heroically.

After the completion of the cemetery, it was renovated many times: 1998, the county party Committee and government of Tomb-Sweeping Day invested tens of thousands of yuan to erect a monument for two famous martyrs in our county, Wu Shu and Tang Shuhong; 1March, 999, set up a tomb for the martyrs who died heroically in Xin 'an Town; In 2000, nearly 1 1 10,000 yuan was invested again to comprehensively adjust and rebuild the layout of the cemetery, and15,000 square meters of Hero Square and 860 square meters of Guannan People's Revolutionary Memorial Hall were built. It was completed and opened to the public on April 5, 2006. The completed Heroes Square and Memorial Hall are not only patriotic education bases for people from all walks of life to mourn the revolutionary martyrs and pay tribute to the revolutionary predecessors, but also a comprehensive activity place integrating learning, education and fitness.
