MeGUI is a free software for suppressing x264 encoded video. Its function is as powerful as many commercial software, even more powerful, with rich plug-ins and AVS script files as input.
This leaves a lot of room for the video suppressor. The video coding output by the software is popular coding formats such as x264 and Xvid ID, and there are more options for audio coding. The output file types are video with MKV, MP4 and original extension.
Extended data
After the video signal is digitized, the data bandwidth is very high, usually above 20MB/ s, which is difficult for the computer to save and process. Using compression technology, the data bandwidth is usually reduced to 1- 10MB/ s, so that the video signal can be stored in the computer and processed accordingly. Commonly used algorithms are formulated by ISO, namely JPEG and MPEG algorithms.
JPEG is a static image compression standard, which is suitable for continuous tone color or grayscale images. It includes two parts: one is lossless coding based on DPCM (Spatial Linear Prediction) technology, and the other is distortion algorithm based on DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) and huffman encoding. The former has a small compression ratio, and the latter algorithm is mainly used. The most commonly used algorithm in nonlinear editing is MJPEG, that is, Motion JPEG.
It changes the video signal from 50 frames per second (PAL system) to 25 frames per second, and then compresses each frame with JPEG algorithm at the speed of 25 frames per second. Usually, when the compression ratio is 3.5-5 times, the image quality of Betacam can be achieved.
