Music selection and playback
To play the APE file suppressed by the whole CD, you need the support of CUE file if you want to choose any music. The file records information such as the start time of each track of the disc. If the player used is Foobar2000, you can directly import the CUE file, and you can choose to play songs as long as the information in the CUE file is correct.
If you use Winamp to play APE files, you can install a plug-in called Mp3CUE, so that Winamp can support CUE files. After unzipping the downloaded compressed package, run Setup.exe, select the installation path of Winamp, and click Next to complete the installation. Re-run Winamp, there will be an extra "Mp3cue" window (if [Alt+N] key is not pressed). When playing an APE file, you can directly double-click the list in the Mp3cue window to select any music.
Single song reduction
If APE is suppressed by the whole CD and there are corresponding CUE files, we can use the tool MakeAPL attached to Monkey's audio to convert CUE into several APL files, and then we can use Monkey's audio to restore the single to WAV or convert it into other formats. The specific operation method is as follows:
Click Start → Program → Monkey Audio →【MakeAPL to open the make APL operation window, click Create Link File (S), select the CUE file corresponding to the APE file, and click Open to find the generated APL file in the directory where the CUE file is located.
Open Monkey's Audio, select Decompress in the mode menu, click Add File in the toolbar, select the APL file to be restored and open it. Finally, click the [Decompress] button, and the software will automatically begin to decompress.

APE is actually a lossless compressed audio format. Huge WAV audio files can be "slimmed down" by the software Monkey Audio and compressed into APE. Sometimes it is used for network audio file transmission, because the compressed APE file capacity is less than half of the WAV source file, which can save transmission time. More importantly, the WAV file obtained after decompression and restoration of monkey's audio can be exactly the same as the source file before compression. Therefore, APE is called "lossless audio compression format" and Monkey's audio is called "lossless audio compression software". Unlike using professional data compression software such as WinZip or WinRAR to compress audio files, compressed APE audio files can be played directly. Monkey's Audio will install an "in_APE.dll" plug-in in Winamp, so Winamp can also play APE files.

Press the down arrow of the second button, and four options will appear, namely "Fast", "Normal", "High" and "Ultra High", which respectively represent different compression levels. The "fast" level has the fastest compression speed and the largest file capacity, and so on. "Ultra-high" level has the slowest compression speed, but the highest compression rate. Then, you can add a single WAV or a WAV document to the entire folder through the third or fourth icon. The selected file will appear in the information bar below. At this point, press the first "compress" button again, and the software will start working according to the compression level you specified. The progress bar is located in the lower right corner of the software.
It is also convenient to restore APE to WAV. First, set the software to the "decompression" state. Just press the first icon button to select the corresponding item, and then press the button, and the software will automatically begin to decompress.
There is also a path problem, which is actually very simple. There is an "output ..." in the "OPATIONS" option. Click on it, and there is an "output location" on the page on the right side of the dialog box. The next two lines choose to change to the original location or specify the path. To specify a path, select Export Specified Directory and click Browse.

2. For APEImage, can I choose music at will when playing?
Yes, but you need a suitable prompt file. Generally, the whole CD is compressed into an APE file with the corresponding cue file, which records the information such as the start time of each track of this CD.

B.for winamp, it seems 2. The X I used can't be directly imported into cue, but there is a solution. There is a tool in the monkey's audio, makeapl, to make software for ape (the installer has created a shortcut for it in the start menu).
Cue file can be converted into several corresponding apl files, each apl corresponds to an audio track, winamp supports apl, and everything is ok.

Note: According to my own experiment, if you want to use this plug-in normally, you should add a picture file in winamp playlist instead of adding a cue file in foobar. As long as there is a cue file with the same name in the directory, the plug-in can recognize the third line of cue.
