How to choose ceramic plates?
Is the ceramic board safe? Bian Xiao takes you to understand.

Not all ceramic plates are safe. Long-term use of some ceramic plates will cause chronic poisoning of heavy metals, which will damage the skin, teeth, eyes, brain, bones and fertility. These harmful substances are mainly heavy metals such as lead and cadmium contained in ceramic plates. The degree of harm mainly depends on the amount of these heavy metals dissolved in use and absorbed by the human body.

Generally, the following ceramic plates are best used sparingly or not:

1, the plate has a large area of patterns or painted colors.

2. Too many decorative patterns on the plate use dark colors such as red, dark yellow and dark green.

3. The decorative pattern inside the board lacks luster and the surface of the pattern is rough.

4. Low-quality and low-priced bone China white porcelain or other low-temperature white porcelain.

5. If you don't use it for a long time, the porcelain pattern will deposit a layer of black, gray and greasy dishes.

6. In use, the pattern of porcelain will gradually be corroded and the color will become lighter.

Knowledge of ceramic plate selection:

1, choose regular merchants and brands when purchasing, and identify the manufacturer of ceramic dinner plates, because there are regulations in the country that ceramic dinner plates should be soaked in 4% acetic acid solution before leaving the factory, and the dissolution of lead and cadmium in the plates should be less than 7 mg/L and 0.5 mg/L, respectively, in order to meet the requirements of use. Regular manufacturers can generally meet this requirement, and informal manufacturers cannot guarantee to meet this standard.

2, pay attention to observe the color of the ceramic plate, the glaze is uniform, the appearance pattern is meticulous, not rough, it is best to touch the surface of the plate by hand to see if it is smooth, especially the inner wall. Good quality plates have no uneven particles.

3. Smell the ceramic plates. If there is an odor, it means that the plate has a high content of harmful elements. Don't buy it.

4. Don't buy ceramic dinner plates with bright colors and patterns because of the pursuit of beauty and freshness. In order to look better, this kind of plate usually adds some heavy metal additives to the glaze, which is harmful to human body. Therefore, the brighter the ceramic dinner plate, the more heavy metals it contains, and it is easier to exceed the standard.

5. It is best to choose ceramic dinner plates with in-glaze color and under-glaze color technology. These two technologies have strict requirements in the manufacturing process, and the content of heavy metals in the pigment is less.

6. Before use, boil the ceramic plate in boiling water for about 5 minutes, or soak it in vinegar for 2-3 minutes to dissolve the toxic elements in the plate.
