The laboratory has many large-scale instruments, including multi-purpose automatic high-pressure liquid chromatograph, large-capacity freezing centrifuge, ultra-high-speed centrifuge, protein and monoclonal antibody purification pilot chromatographic system, glucose and lactic acid biochemical analyzer, diode matrix ultraviolet spectrophotometer, capillary electrophoresis system, continuous membrane filtration system, chromatographic workstation, evaporative light detector, laser scatterometer and so on. Among them, HP GC -Finnigen multistage mass spectrometer is the most advanced GC-MS equipment at home and abroad, serving the whole country, and has successfully measured the molecular weights of protein, nucleic acids, natural products and organic compounds for many units. The laboratory has the ability to develop various fermenters and separation and purification equipment by itself, and has developed and provided various animal and plant cell culture reactors, separation and purification media and equipment to domestic units. The National Research Center of Biochemical Engineering Technology (Beijing) has a 500-liter fermentation and extraction pilot laboratory in close cooperation with the laboratory.

Strengthen original innovation, closely cooperate with the development of biotechnology in China, and cooperate with other biotechnology laboratories to develop a technical platform for large-scale preparation of biological products, especially the preparation of biopharmaceuticals and natural products, the utilization of renewable resources, biological decontamination and the preparation of biological dosage forms.
