Since learning Xingyiquan from Li Zuofang, Li's condition has gradually eased. He began to learn boxing in August, and by the end of the year, migraine and low back pain were basically cured. Three years of medical treatment is not as good as half a year of boxing, and he personally realized the magical effect of Xingyiquan. From then on, he and Xingyiquan forged deep feelings. For 57 years, he basically kept boxing and practiced whenever he had time. When he was young, Li usually got up at 3 am and practiced boxing for three or four hours every day. When you get older, it will be reduced to about two hours a day.
Long-term study and hard practice greatly improved Li's kung fu. Whether it is boxing or knives, sticks and other instruments, he can make it move freely. Master Zuo Li once said to him, "You can practice boxing step by step, and practice it more formally than others. In the future, you may be moved by it. " What the master said really hit the nail on the head. Since then, Li has taken part in the revolutionary work. For 25 years, he didn't ask for a sick day until he retired. Li Yin is famous for practicing boxing. Neighbors, colleagues at work, and people who come here all ask him to learn boxing. Because he personally realized the value of Xingyiquan in health care, Li Lao himself is willing to spread this boxing so that it can benefit everyone. After he retired, this idea became stronger. For the scholar who came to see you, the amiable teacher Li has no class and is enthusiastic to help. His students range in age from junior high school students to people in their 70s. As long as someone wants to learn boxing, they can come and learn it by saying hello. He never charges tuition fees, let alone any rituals like learning from a master. Over the years, he has lost count of how many students he has brought. Zuo Li, Li Lao's teacher, has a sentence deeply imprinted on his mind: "It is the happiest thing to practice boxing all your life and never have to fight with others." Veteran Li Jicheng developed this idea. He counsels students, emphasizes martial arts first, does not advocate fighting, and the strong strive for strength. He told his disciples many times that practicing boxing should be based on health preservation, so as to maintain the body and not cause trouble. "People who really practice boxing are invisible." Li Lao's students obey the teacher's orders, and many of them are disciples of virtue and art.
Li Lao has a peaceful personality and is tireless in teaching others. The students all feel like spring breeze. In the past, he insisted on tutoring students every day. Later, due to his age, he was accompanied by his son to the training ground at the foot of Hero Mountain every weekend. This is the activity place that Xingyiquan practitioners set up spontaneously. Li Lao not only demonstrates to the students, but sometimes corrects the movements and patiently explains them. He often mentioned such a motto to his disciples: "Qi is accumulated over time, perseverance takes a long time to practice", encouraging everyone to practice boxing with the spirit of dripping water and wearing stones. Over the years, Li Lao and his students have forged deep feelings. He treats them as children and everyone treats him as parents. Whenever the old man's birthday approaches, the students will celebrate. Sometimes there are many people and the scene is lively. In this regard, Mr. Li can push it and block it. He said, "This scene is so vulgar that we have a birthday every ten years." He is afraid of causing trouble to everyone.
Li Lao takes pleasure in cultivating talents. He is really happy to see that the students' skills are getting better every day. Some students have received new apprentices after their studies; Some students settled abroad and brought Xingyiquan. There are also foreign friends who come here to learn from their teachers. An Argentine student, whose Chinese name is Fan Gangliu, met Li Lao at the first Jinan International Wushu Tourism Exhibition on 1993. He admired China's kung fu and begged him to learn boxing. Li Lao readily agreed and accepted the foreign apprentice. From then on, every two or three years, he came to China once and asked Li Lao for advice. Hosted the "Jingwumen Seminar" in Argentina, and sent a letter inviting Li Lao's son to give lectures and exchange in Argentina. Xingyiquan can take root in a foreign country thousands of miles away, which is gratifying for Li Laobei.
