How to help healthy aging with technological progress and industrial development
To cope with the aging, we should not only strengthen the construction of medical and health system, but also have technological progress and industrial support. This is an important means to solve the shortage of service human resources and improve the efficiency and quality of service under the background of aging, and it is also a general direction for aging countries. The health care industry involves a lot. This study mainly focuses on pharmaceutical products, health insurance, intelligent medical care, infrastructure renovation to adapt to aging, assistive devices and other industries, and is a key area to improve the health level and quality of life of the elderly. China's related industries have a certain development foundation, but compared with the aging demand and the level of advanced countries, the gap is still very large. In the coming period, we need to learn from international experience, improve the industrial policy system and accelerate development.
First, improve the level of supply and security to meet the growing demand for medical products and services for the elderly.
1. The problem of insufficient medication and treatment for senile diseases is very prominent.
Based on the existing disease spectrum and its changing law, the cancer prevalence rate of the elderly in China will continue to rise, the morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases will remain high, the burden of new diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and rare diseases will rise, and the risks and problems of new infections cannot be ignored. Diseases that cause disability and affect independent living ability also need attention. Judging from these clinical needs, the accessibility of drugs and treatments for the elderly is still insufficient. The main problems are as follows:
● Up to now, no effective drugs and treatments have been developed for Alzheimer's disease and some rare diseases in the world;
● For some malignant tumors, although there are drugs and treatments, their effectiveness is insufficient;
● For some diseases, more effective drugs have been developed internationally, but the price is high and the burden on patients is heavy, such as targeted drugs and biological products for certain tumors;
● For chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, etc. The route and mechanism of administration need to be optimized, and the convenience and safety need to be improved;
Due to the difference of disease spectrum, drugs and treatments for some endemic high-risk diseases in China, such as liver cancer, esophageal cancer and gastric cancer, are underdeveloped.
● Preventive products such as vaccines for various infections, early diagnosis products such as various reagents, functional recovery products such as artificial hip joints, and drugs for improving the quality of life such as pain management have problems of shortage, low quality and high price.

2. Some problems that need to be solved to improve the accessibility of drugs and treatment methods for the elderly.
● Encourage innovation and strengthen research and development of new drugs and technical means in key areas. Comprehensive use of tax and financial support measures to strengthen the incentive for enterprise innovation; Strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and patents, and increase the punishment for infringement; Combined with the changes of the disease demand of the elderly, we will determine the key areas and formulate a more clear development strategy for the pharmaceutical industry. Promote the deep integration of Industry-University-Research in the medical field and accelerate the transformation of achievements. Further improve the relevant policy system and encourage Chinese and foreign enterprises and research institutions to carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of drug research and development.
● Further improve the review and approval system and accelerate the introduction of innovative drugs and new therapies. In the construction of special channels for drug approval, more consideration should be given to drugs and treatments urgently needed by the elderly. Actively summarize the relevant experience of Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pioneer Zone and promote it in a timely manner.
● Improve the generic drug policy. While further strengthening the protection of patented drugs, we should improve the research and development support policies for generic drugs and accelerate the replacement of original drugs with expired patents by generic drugs; Improve the industrial concentration of generic drug enterprises, standardize the market competition order, further strengthen supervision and consistency evaluation, and ensure the quality of generic drugs.
