Gancao Xiexin Decoction is based on Banxia Xiexin Decoction in Treatise on Febrile Diseases, which increases the dosage of Gancao. Its prescription is licorice, Pinellia ternata, ginger, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Coptidis Rhizoma, Ginseng Radix and Jujube, which has the effects of invigorating the middle warmer, lowering the adverse qi, regulating the stomach and reducing swelling. Indications: weakness of stomach-qi, abdominal distension, Shui Gu's dyspepsia, fullness of the heart, retching and upset. It is one of the main prescriptions for treating digestive tract diseases in traditional Chinese medicine. Modern experimental research shows that Gancao Xiexin decoction can significantly improve the humoral immunity, cellular immunity and nonspecific immunity of mice, and can significantly prolong the survival time of mice under normal pressure and hypoxia.
