Qihe Yellow River Turtle is a specialty of Qihe County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. Yellow River soft-shelled turtle, with orange color, compact oval shape, wide skirt and tender meat, is rich in various odorous amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids and glial protein, which is higher than other soft-shelled turtle varieties.

In recent years, Qihe County has given full play to the advantages of fishery resources along the Yellow River, actively promoted turtle production in the Yellow River, focused on cultivating the demonstration model of imitation wild turtle breeding in the Yellow River, gradually realized the scale of ecological turtle production in the Yellow River, vigorously promoted standardized production, standardized all aspects of breeding, and ensured a standardized way and a high-quality market. At present, the county has established two Yellow River turtle production demonstration bases. The development of 50 demonstration households, with an annual income of more than 30,000 yuan per mu, greatly increased the income of farmers, further promoted the development of aquaculture in the county, and showed good economic, social and ecological benefits.
