Banyan is one of the most common bonsai. How can we make banyan trees grow better? The banyan tree is graceful, quaint and evergreen, symbolizing longevity and good luck. It has always been loved by people and is often regarded as a beautiful bonsai.

In a warm and humid environment, banyan trees must provide a good growth environment and reasonable water, fertilizer and light when maintaining family bonsai, so that plants can thrive.

Cultivate banyan bonsai, build five health points, vigorous and graceful.

First, planting culture soil

Banyan is an acidic plant, and the potted soil must be rich in organic matter and have good water permeability. Humus soil, peat soil, garden soil, cinder and coarse sand can be mixed evenly to make culture soil. If the soil is too alkaline, the leaves will turn yellow easily and the plants will become thinner.

Second, the requirements of watering

Banyan is a kind of plant that likes humidity. When maintaining at ordinary times, the soil in the basin must be kept slightly wet, not too dry, and there should be no water in the basin. Long-term water accumulation is prone to a large number of yellow leaves falling off. Every time I water it, what I see is dry and wet, and it is transparent every time. In hot summer, put potted plants in the shade and often sprinkle water on them to achieve the effect of cooling and humidifying.

Third, fertilization management.

Plants cannot get enough nutrition. If they don't fertilize for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow and the leaves at the bottom will slowly fall off. In order to make plants grow vigorously, NPK compound fertilizer can be topdressing once a month or fed with fermented organic fertilizer solution frequently.

Fertilize banyan trees at ordinary times, and don't apply excessive nitrogen fertilizer. The combined use of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium will cause the branches and leaves to grow white and lose their original tree shape, which will affect the ornamental effect.

Fourth, use the light reasonably.

Lack of light for a long time will affect the normal growth of plants and lead to yellowing of leaves. Adequate light can make plants grow vigorously and their leaves are dark green. So potted plants should also be moved to sunny places, so that plants can better carry out photosynthesis. However, in summer, we should avoid the strong sunlight and don't let it shine on the young leaves.

Fifth, trimming and shaping.

Branches and leaves in banyan bonsai are growing rapidly, and need to be pruned and reshaped frequently. At the same time, root system should be cultivated to achieve perfect combination. The shape of banyan tree is mainly trimmed, supplemented by halberd. It is not advisable to prune the seedlings in one or two years, and make them germinate first. If there are too many branches, cut off a few messy branches in spring, and then make corresponding choices when they grow strong.

Make bonsai for the formed banyan tree, and cut off the long branches, healthy branches, weak branches and cross branches in spring and autumn to make the whole look sparse, harmonious and natural. Cultivate banyan bonsai, build five health points, vigorous and graceful.

Banyan is a southern tree species with a warm and humid climate. When viewing family bonsai in the northern region, we should try to provide a warm and humid environment. After winter, potted plants must be moved to a warm room for maintenance.

Banyan trees grow well in the growing season. Pick leaves and cores, and new leaves and buds of banyan trees will sprout soon. Don't apply too much nitrogen fertilizer when maintaining banyan trees. Too much nitrogen fertilizer and large and thin leaves directly affect the appreciation of banyan bonsai. The maintenance of banyan trees is a scientific management method, which can promote plants to branch more and achieve the effect of lush foliage. Then control the thickness of leaves by pruning, punching and picking leaves.
