In terms of health care and disease prevention, various methods with different functions are popular in society. For example, Xun Yue's method of collecting interest in Han Dynasty focused on aphrodisiac. And the method of nourishing yin, quiet and giving birth to yin, begins with static work.
Nourishing yin lies in obtaining essence, blood, body fluid and other substances in the body. For example, the inscription on a bronze mirror found in Changsha said, "What a coincidence! There are immortals who yearn for Yuquan and jujube in the world."
The "thirsty Yuquan" mentioned in it is the body fluid secreted by swallowing when practicing Qigong.
There are also many qigong practitioners who advocate the application of "harmony". In particular, Yan Junping elaborated the method of "harmony" in Volume III of Laozi Gui Zhi. In his view, the Tao changes in constancy, moves in immovability and moves in relative stability. This clearly expounds the gasification function of qigong and theoretically summarizes the "harmony" method.
Yan Junping's theory not only shows that the method of "harmony" was widely used in Qin and Han Dynasties, but also shows that Qin and Han Qigong's understanding of the dialectical relationship between movement, return and existence reached a high level.
