What is diabetes?

Diabetes is a series of metabolic disorder syndromes, such as protein's syndrome, fat syndrome, water syndrome and electrolyte syndrome, in which hyperglycemia is the main sign and the result of the interaction of genetic and environmental factors. Typical clinical cases may have symptoms such as polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia and emaciation, that is, "three more and one less".

Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases. With the improvement of people's living standards, the incidence of population aging and obesity is increasing, and the incidence of diabetes is also increasing year by year. The incidence of diabetes in China is 2%. According to statistics, 40 million people with diabetes have been diagnosed in China, and the number is increasing at the rate of 6.5438+0.0000 every year.

Among them, 1 type diabetic patients accounted for 10%, and type 2 diabetic patients accounted for 90%.

1 diabetic patients rarely have chronic complications within 5 years after diagnosis. On the contrary,

Patients with type 2 diabetes have chronic complications before diagnosis. According to statistics, 50% patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes have one or more chronic complications, and some patients are found to have diabetes because of complications.

What are the hazards of diabetes?

Diabetes cannot be cured, and its main harm lies in complications, especially chronic complications.

Acute complications

Diabetes complicated with infection: the incidence is high, and the two are mutually causal and must be treated at the same time. Common infections include respiratory tract infection and tuberculosis, urinary tract infection and skin infection.

Hypertonic syndrome of diabetes mellitus: mostly occurs in middle-aged and elderly people with a history of diabetes. Its clinical manifestations include severe dehydration, and sometimes it can be misdiagnosed as cerebrovascular accident because of hemiplegia, coma and other clinical manifestations, and the mortality rate is as high as 50%.

Lactic acidosis: Most patients have a history of heart disease, liver disease and kidney disease, or shock, infection, lack of oxygen, drinking alcohol and taking a lot of Jiangtangling. Symptoms are not specific and the mortality rate is high.

Chronic complications

Macrovascular complications:

(1) Cerebrovascular disease: The prevalence rate is three times higher than that of non-diabetic patients, which is the main cause of disability or premature death of diabetic patients, among which occlusive cerebrovascular disease is more common;

(2) Cardiovascular: The incidence of patients is three times higher than that of non-diabetic patients, which is the main cause of premature death of diabetic patients, especially coronary heart disease. Clinical features include high incidence of coronary heart disease, early onset, more obvious increase of cardiovascular disease in female diabetic patients, and more atypical clinical manifestations such as painless myocardial infarction.

(3) Lower extremity blood vessels: The prevalence rate is five times higher than that of non-diabetic patients, and the number of amputees caused by diabetic lower extremity vascular diseases is 10 times higher than that of non-diabetic patients, which is the main reason for limb disability of diabetic patients.

Microvascular complications:

(1) Kidney: The prevalence rate of uremia is 17 times higher than that of non-diabetic patients, which is the main cause of premature death of patients with diabetes, especially type I diabetes. Patients may have proteinuria, hypertension, edema and other manifestations, and renal insufficiency occurs in the late stage;

(2) Fundus: Blindness is 25 times higher than that of non-diabetic patients, which is one of the main causes of disability in diabetic patients.

Neurological complications:

(1) Sensory nerve: pain, numbness and allergy;

(2) Motor nerve: motor disorder caused by single nerve paralysis can be seen, and local muscles can atrophy;

(3) Autonomic nerves: abnormal sweating, changes in blood pressure and heart rate, urinary incontinence or retention, diarrhea or constipation, impotence, etc.

Epidemiological studies show that

In the first two years, 2% of patients with type 1 diabetes developed diabetic retinopathy, and the incidence of diabetic retinopathy above 15 was as high as 98%.

Twenty years later, the incidence of diabetic retinopathy in patients with or without insulin was 60% and 84%, respectively.

Early retinopathy can be characterized by background changes such as bleeding, edema, microvascular and exudation, while late retinopathy is characterized by proliferative lesions of new blood vessels, which are often irreversible and are an important cause of blindness in diabetic patients. Although good blood sugar control can delay and alleviate the development of diabetic retinopathy, it can't stop the development of diabetic retinopathy.

What is diabetic retinopathy?

Diabetic patients have long-term hyperglycemia and metabolic disorder in the body, which causes systemic microcirculation disorder. Retinal vessels in the fundus are easily damaged, that is, diabetic retinopathy (DR) occurs. Diabetic retinopathy is one of the serious complications of diabetes and one of the main causes of blindness in diabetic patients.

Epidemiological investigation shows that about 75% of diabetic patients who do not pay attention to blood sugar control develop diabetic retinopathy within 15 years. More than 50% of diabetic patients have diabetic retinopathy.

The pathological cause of body damage caused by diabetes mellitus is vascular injury caused by hyperglycemia, which damages endothelial cells and pericytes of retinal capillaries, resulting in the loss and leakage of normal barrier function of capillaries, causing edema and bleeding of surrounding tissues. Then the occlusion of capillaries leads to retinal ischemia, lack of blood supply and nutrition, tissue necrosis, release of neovascular growth factors and neovascularization, which will lead to massive hemorrhage of retina and vitreous body, leading to proliferative vitreoretinopathy. The older you get, the longer the course of disease, and the higher the incidence of fundus diseases. Young patients are more dangerous than elderly patients, and the prognosis is often poor. If diabetes can be controlled in time, it will not only happen less, but also cause less damage to the retina. Otherwise, retinopathy will be aggravated gradually, and repeated bleeding will lead to proliferative changes of retina, even retinal detachment, or complicated with cataract.

What are the manifestations of diabetic retinopathy?

Diabetic retinopathy is caused by diabetes. In addition to the systemic symptoms characterized by excessive drinking, overeating, polyuria and high urine sugar and blood sugar, there are also bright red capillary hemangioma, flame bleeding in both eyes, grayish white exudation in the later stage, bright red new blood vessels, and glass red hematocele as the main feature.

When early fundus lesions do not affect macula, vision is not affected, and patients have no conscious symptoms. Sometimes, patients will feel that their eyesight is declining, or there are shadows flying or fluttering in front of their eyes. If the lesion develops for 3 ~ 5 years or the blood sugar is not well controlled, it can cause different degrees of fundus hemorrhage, exudation, edema and hemangioma. If the macula of fundus is involved, there may be symptoms such as decreased vision, black shadow in front of eyes, dark spot in the center of visual field, decreased central vision and distorted vision. If the retina bleeds repeatedly into the vitreous body, the patient will feel a shadow fluttering in front of him. When a large number of blood vessels or new blood vessels bleed into the vitreous cavity, it will seriously affect vision and even blindness.

How to prevent and treat diabetic retinopathy?

Blood sugar is controlled at normal or near normal level, and blood pressure is controlled within the normal range of 140/90 mmHg.

Properly control diet, strengthen exercise and control blood sugar.

Early examination of eyesight and fundus, early treatment, preservation of eyesight and improvement of quality of life.

What is diabetic nephropathy?

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a common chronic complication of diabetes, and it is also one of the main causes of death of diabetic patients. 30-80% of patients with early DN develop into clinical DN, at which time the glomerular filtration rate gradually decreases and eventually enters end-stage renal disease. Glomerulus is the main cause of death in patients with 1 diabetes, and its severity is second only to coronary artery and cerebrovascular atherosclerosis in patients with type 2 diabetes.

The main treatment: 1, diabetes education. 2. Diet control. 3. Exercise. 4, medication. 5. Islet transplantation.

What is the difference between Chinese and western medicine in treating diabetes?

Western medicine mainly lowers blood sugar, which has little effect on the treatment of chronic complications of diabetes. Moreover, because western medicine contains many chemical components that have strong toxic and side effects on human body, long-term use of western medicine has serious damage to human liver and kidney.

Compared with taking hypoglycemic western medicine, insulin can reduce the damage to liver, kidney and other organs and tissues in diabetic patients. However, not every diabetic can use insulin, and some diabetic patients can't use insulin, especially those with hyperinsulinemia. Moreover, if insulin is used improperly, it is easy to produce hypoglycemia, so it must be used correctly according to the determination of islet function. Some diabetic patients are accompanied by insulin antibodies, and the effect of insulin treatment is not obvious at this time. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to insulin antibody therapy for diabetic patients, eliminate insulin resistance, and make insulin achieve the goal of stabilizing blood sugar. More importantly, the use of insulin, like taking western medicine, only has hypoglycemic effect, but has no therapeutic effect, and has no obvious therapeutic effect on diabetic complications.

At present, there are many products on the market that add hypoglycemic western medicine to traditional Chinese medicine, which is more harmful to patients. Many patients think that the rapid drop of blood sugar is controlled after taking some traditional Chinese medicine products, so they think that this traditional Chinese medicine is a good medicine for treating diabetes, but they don't know that there must be western medicine (hypoglycemic) ingredients. Because the dosage of western medicine (hypoglycemic) ingredients is unknown, patients often take it many times when taking it, which is not only more harmful to viscera and organs. Moreover, long-term use is easy to cause hypoglycemia, damage human organs and accelerate the occurrence and development of diabetic complications. More importantly, it delayed the best opportunity for patients to treat diabetes, delayed their illness, and caused greater physical and psychological pain to patients.

Real Chinese medicine products have no direct and rapid hypoglycemic effect, but have the function of regulating viscera and slowly lowering blood sugar. The main function is to treat according to syndrome differentiation, that is, to treat both the symptoms and the root causes. Treating diabetes with traditional Chinese medicine can achieve the effect of regulating the function of viscera and organs from the inside of human body and improving the immunity of patients. When the viscera function of human body is restored, blood sugar will naturally drop, and at the same time, the body's physique will be improved to varying degrees, so as to fundamentally treat (not cure) diabetes and restore the health of patients.

How to prevent diabetes:

First, don't overeat, live a regular life, chew slowly, eat more vegetables, and try not to eat foods containing a lot of glucose and sucrose in a short time, which can prevent blood sugar from rising rapidly in a short time and help protect pancreatic function, especially for friends with family history of diabetes.

Second, the law of sexual life, to prevent infectious diseases; Don't take too many antibiotics. Some viral infections and excessive antibiotics can induce diabetes!

Third, friends with abnormal glucose tolerance or family history of diabetes can prevent the occurrence of diabetes to the maximum extent: eating nicotinamide, Vb 1, Vb6 and methyl Vb 12 for three months every year can enhance pancreatic function; When changing seasons, take Vc and Ve for half a month, and the dosage should be large, which can improve your immunity and remove free radicals. (You can also inject Vb 12 intramuscularly for two weeks every year, one tablet a day, which is very economical! )

Fourth, exercise more and stay up late less.

Diabetes is a common and frequently-occurring disease. At present, there are about 20-30 million diabetic patients in China. So far, this disease is incurable, but it can be well controlled. Under the guidance of specialists, most patients can live, work and support themselves like normal people if the three basic therapies including diet, exercise and hypoglycemic drugs are used correctly and treated for life. Diabetic patients should learn self-care knowledge, actively prevent the occurrence and development of various chronic complications, and avoid disability and death. According to epidemiological data, if fasting blood glucose is less than 7.2 mmol/L (130 mg/DL), postprandial blood glucose is less than 8.9 mmol/L (160 mg/DL) and glycosylated hemoglobin is less than 8. Therefore, diabetic patients must follow the principle of strictly controlling hyperglycemia and adhering to treatment standards, which is the fundamental guarantee for treating diabetes. They can't believe the fallacy of "seeing a doctor" in society, the so-called "covering doctors and treating diabetes".

Can diabetics eat sugar?

This is relatively speaking, diabetics can't eat sugar, that is to say, they can't eat sucrose and glucose directly in their daily diet. In fact, fructose is edible. The decomposition of fructose does not require insulin. The main component of honey is fructose. Eating some honey is still helpful for diabetics.

In recent years, the incidence of hypertension has increased year by year. With the improvement of people's living standards, the number of diabetic patients is also increasing. Reducing the side effects of oral drugs can improve the quality of life of patients. In view of this, the author has observed the side effects of Shoubishan in treating hypertension complicated with diabetes in recent years, which are reported as follows.

1, data and methods

1.65438+

1.2 methods: Shoubishan (2.5mg) was taken orally (provided by Tianjin Li Sheng Pharmaceutical Factory), and diabetic patients were given hypoglycemic treatment at the same time. Other comprehensive treatment methods are the same, and the course of treatment is 3 months. Statistical analysis of side effects and their effects on blood electrolytes and blood sugar.

2. Results

The side effects are all the effects on electrolytes, and K+ and Na+ are decreased in all cases, but the patients with simple hypertension are still in the normal range, and their blood sugar has no obvious change. However, 9 patients with diabetes have obvious effects on K+, Na+ and blood sugar, and 2 patients need to be hospitalized twice for correction. As shown in table 1. Table 1 Changes of K+, Na+ and blood sugar in the two groups before and after treatment Note: Compared with before treatment, the simple hypertension group was P > 0.05, and the diabetes group was P < 0.0 1.

Step 3 discuss

Indapamide is a thiazide analogue and a new type of potent and long-acting antihypertensive drug [1, 2]. Indapamide was listed as a thiazide diuretic in the recently published Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension in the United States (7), which was successfully developed by Tianjin Institute of Medicine and Li Sheng Pharmaceutical Factory and applied in clinic. Shoubishan exerts its antihypertensive effect mainly by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions in vascular smooth muscle, reducing vascular contraction and reducing the reactivity of vascular smooth muscle to some pressurized substances. Early studies show that its antihypertensive effect is positive, mild and lasting. In the American Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension (7), the important position of thiazide diuretics as first-line antihypertensive drugs is once again strengthened. The tradition of using thiazide diuretics by doctors and patients in China is different from that in the United States. Hydrochlorothiazide alone is less as a first-line drug, and the life expectancy of single use is slightly higher than that of good. It can be seen that the adverse reactions of thiazide diuretics to blood sugar, blood potassium and blood sodium are more prominent when Shoubishan is used alone in hypertension complicated with diabetes. Therefore, the author thinks that Shoubishan is not suitable for this kind of patients. As shown in the Guidelines for Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension in China in 2005, it is safer to consider using ACEI or ARB drugs first.

Analysis of diabetes mellitus from blood gas theory of traditional Chinese medicine

The health care of diabetes, like uremia, must start with the analysis of the cause of diabetes. Only by finding the real cause can we find a correct and effective way to get rid of the disease.

Diabetes has always been a difficult disease to treat. This disease can only be controlled by insulin injection. This method mainly comes from the fact that the medical profession believes that blood sugar is out of control because of the function of the pancreas. This method, like hemodialysis treatment of uremia, is to determine that the human body's function of controlling insulin has been lost and cannot be recovered, so it gives up treatment and adopts artificial substitution. Therefore, it is an inevitable result that this method cannot cure diabetes.

If we analyze the cause of diabetes from the blood gas theory of traditional Chinese medicine, we know that when the blood gas of human body is in a downward trend of consumption exceeding production for a long time, that is, when the blood gas is overdrawn for a long time, the human body must extract the nutrients stored in the body to use. This is the constitution of "yin deficiency" that Chinese medicine often says. At this time, the overdraft situation of using stored energy is called "fire" Therefore, when Chinese medicine talks about yin deficiency, it is always necessary to add the words "heavy fire" or "vigorous fire", which is the reason. At this time, the blood in human organs will gradually decrease, and the bone marrow in bones will gradually rot. Because the stored energy is always exhausted at some time, even the fire has been exhausted by the state of "yin and yang deficiency" in traditional Chinese medicine.

When the human body reaches the state of "yin and yang deficiency", all the energy that can be overdrawn has been exhausted, and we have to start extracting energy from muscles. At this time, the human body will secrete a substance to break down muscles and produce sugar as an alternative energy source. Because the secreted sugar is used up immediately, there will be no residual sugar in the blood in the vein, and there will be no excess sugar discharged from the urine, so the blood sugar will not be abnormal. At this stage, the blood sugar test will not show the symptoms of diabetes. The main symptom is that the muscles gradually decrease, and the parts that should have muscles gradually become slack and carrion. If patients do not pay attention to this phenomenon, they will not find it, but will feel less and less energetic, which is usually attributed to the natural causes of aging.

At this time, because the original source of blood gas overdraft "fire" has been exhausted, the excited mental state disappears and the physical strength is not as good as before. The original difficulty in falling asleep will be improved. On the contrary, the body will be easily tired and sleep will gradually increase. Patients will naturally blame it on aging and will not be alert to any disease.

After sleep increases, blood gas naturally increases, and the amount of hematopoiesis also increases. According to the original state of physical exhaustion, some sugar replaced by muscle decomposition becomes redundant. At this time, when a blood test is done, there will be symptoms of elevated blood sugar, and the human body will automatically excrete these excess sugars, so there will be sugar in the urine and it will become diabetes.

We use some hypothetical figures to make inferences, which can explain this problem more clearly. Assume that the protein consumed by human body every day (the normal energy of human body is assumed to be protein) is 100 unit. Due to absorption and sleep problems, the human body can only produce 50 units. In order to maintain normal functioning, the human body will produce a substance to break down muscles and produce 50 units of sugar to replace the insufficient protein. Since all the sugar is used up immediately after production, no extra sugar is discharged from the vein during the examination.

When the human body gives instructions to produce sugar substitutes, it will automatically adjust various endocrine systems, making it easier for the human body to feel tired and increasing the sleep time during hematopoiesis. This is a self-protection measure of the human body. When sleep increases, the production of protein will naturally increase. Assuming that the total number of protein produced at this time reaches 80 units, only 20 units of sugar need to be added. But the feedback system of human body will not be adjusted because of short-term values. It is necessary to observe for a period of time to make sure that the production of high amount of protein is normal, and then modify the instructions for raw sugar production. Therefore, during the observation period of these months, the human body will still produce 50 units of sugar, of which 30 units have more sugar, and the human body will excrete it through urine.

If you go to the hospital for examination at this time, you will find that your blood sugar is too high. According to the current medical standards, doctors naturally judge that patients have diabetes, and immediately ask patients to change their eating habits, limit their diet and reduce their intake of nutrients. At this time, the output of protein, which has been increased to 80 units, began to decline again due to lack of nutrition until it reached 50 units. At this time, the human blood sugar returned to normal. The doctor thought that the patient had recovered, but in fact, the patient has returned to the downward trend from the upward trend of blood gas. The doctor's treatment actually interrupted the emergency measures of the human body without knowing it.

In fact, at this time, the physical condition has passed the worst period, the blood gas is gradually increasing, and the health condition is improving. Even if you don't use any drugs, as long as you continue to maintain good sleep habits and improve your body's ability to absorb nutrients, after a period of time, the total blood volume will increase and the blood gas will turn from a downward trend to an upward trend. There will be no blood gas overdraft, and your blood sugar will naturally gradually decrease and eventually return to normal.

Important concept: The human body is a highly intelligent institution, which can take emergency measures according to various physical conditions to maintain the normal operation of the body. Most chronic diseases are the state of the human body when taking emergency measures. However, the basic indicators set by the traditional health examination do not consider the instinctive mechanism of the human body during these strains, but identify the phenomena caused by these strains as the failure of human organs.

At present, the medical community believes that diabetes is caused by improper diet of patients, and subjectively believes that diabetes is caused by patients who like to eat sugar or overeating for a long time. Therefore, once diabetes is diagnosed, the patient's diet is restricted. The original absorption problem of patients has not been solved, and the dietary restrictions make the problem of malnutrition more serious.

In the logic of modern medicine, when the body is easily tired, when it is found that there is too much sugar in blood and urine, it is immediately recognized that the patient has eaten too much sugar. In fact, this sugar is not another sugar, and the sugar in the blood is not completely eaten. This view also completely underestimates the wisdom of the human body and imagines the human body as an intestinal tract that runs through the end. Eating too much sugar will excrete sugar, completely ignoring that the human body is a complex chemical plant.

According to our experience, when the human body lacks certain nutrients, it will automatically change people's tastes. People who like to eat sugar are likely to have insufficient energy in their bodies. Sugar is the most easily converted into energy in the human body, so the human body will change the taste of the human body and make it like to eat sugar. Even if you eat too much, your body will automatically excrete it.

Modern medicine reduces energy intake and maintains the stability of blood sugar surface by controlling patients' diet; In fact, due to the lack of energy, the human body continues to break down muscles, blood gas energy continues to decline, and health conditions continue to deteriorate. Although patients strictly follow the doctor's advice to control their diet and keep their blood sugar index stable and normal, blood gas energy is still declining, and various subsequent symptoms appear one after another. When the blood is not enough to supply the legs, the legs function abnormally, turn black and finally be sawed off; When the blood is not enough to supply the eyes, the symptoms of blindness appear; And eventually die.

Many scientists in the medical field devote themselves to the research work to solve the problem of diabetes, but almost all the research focuses on finding drugs that can control blood sugar, but due to the lack of the concept of traditional Chinese medicine, there is no overall medical research on the increase of blood sugar.

Health care methods for diabetic patients;

From the pathological analysis stated above, diabetes is a symptom of extremely low blood gas. Therefore, like most diseases, the method of health preservation still returns to the first two of the first three methods of nourishing blood and benefiting qi, that is, knocking on the gallbladder meridian and going to bed early and getting up early to make blood gas rise rapidly.

In the process of blood gas rising, with the increase of normal energy produced by human body, blood sugar will continue to rise, and after a certain degree, it will gradually decline until it returns to normal. After understanding this process, you don't have to care about the problem of high blood sugar. As long as you feel that your physical strength is constantly improving and abnormal symptoms are gradually improving, it means that the disease is gradually moving away and your body is gradually recovering.

Like the care of uremia, after the blood gas rises to a certain degree, the body will begin to deal with the diseases accumulated in the early stage, and the possible symptoms are very complicated. At this time, it is necessary to find a suitable Chinese medicine to assist the treatment.

Before the symptoms of any disease appear and a suitable doctor is found, the most suitable health care method is to massage the pericardium meridian, which is the third of the first three strokes of nourishing blood and benefiting qi. Or according to the second chapter of this article, according to different seasons, health care of different meridians is carried out. That is, strengthen the health care of liver meridian in spring, heart meridian in summer, lung meridian in autumn and kidney meridian in winter.

Description:

From the clinical experience, we find that diabetic patients have less muscles than ordinary people, and at the same time, after blood gas rises for a period of time, blood sugar will rise, and after a period of time, blood sugar will gradually drop.

From the ordinary handshake, we can easily distinguish the diabetic from some weak boneless palms, whose muscles have been exhausted. Usually, such people can't find the symptoms of diabetes during physical examination, and symptoms of hyperglycemia will appear after two or three months of nursed back to health.

Many diabetic patients who have received our health care guidance have not given any special treatment to their diabetes during the process of nursed back to health. After a period of nursed back to health, their blood gas has risen to a certain extent. When white hair gradually falls off and black hair grows out, the symptoms of diabetes naturally disappear.

We sum up the logic of diabetes from these experiences, which is completely different from the traditional cognition of diabetes and can be said to be an alternative thinking. But according to this logic, we can not only accurately predict the occurrence of diabetes, but also draw up correct health care methods to truly overcome diabetes.
