Correct methods and skills of breast self-examination
Breast self-examination, first of all, pay attention to whether the breasts on both sides are symmetrical. If they are asymmetrical, we should pay special attention to the larger side of the breast. If there is a local bulge, pay attention to the possibility of a large lump there. If there is a local depression, there may be a lump in the deep part.

Second, pay attention to the nipples on both sides. In general, the two sides are symmetrical and the direction is downward. If there is cancer or chronic inflammation near the nipple, the nipple can be pulled to this side, resulting in bilateral nipple asymmetry.

In addition, we should also pay attention to the changes of breast skin, such as redness and swelling, which mostly represent inflammation. When the local skin thickening is "orange peel-like", pay attention to whether there is a lump in the breast.

The correct way to check whether there is a lump in the breast;

Put your fingers together, put them flat on your breast, and gently press them with your palm and the palm surface of your fingers (the distal end of your fingers is the most sensitive in the second palm surface). Press in the five areas of the breast, namely, the outer upper part, the outer lower part, the inner upper part, the inner lower part and the middle part. Normal breasts are soft and uniform in texture. Because the structure of the breast lobe can be slightly lobulated, it will not touch the tumor under normal circumstances. If you touch the lump, it should be considered pathological, and you need to go to the hospital for detailed examination as soon as possible.
