Introduction to the ancient town Jiangkou ancient town has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, where Shu Wang was defeated by the Qin Dynasty and Zhang was defeated at the end of the Ming Dynasty. The area around Qiaolouzi in Zhenchangkou is the place where "five sheep buy tea" in Wang Bao's Tongyue in the Western Han Dynasty. According to research, it is the earliest tea market in the world Lu Yu of Cha Sheng was also stationed here to collect data when he wrote the Tea Classics. Because it is located at the intersection of Fuhe and Nanhe, it is named Jiangkou. This is an ancient market town with a long history of more than two thousand years.

Because of the dangerous terrain, Jiangkou was the place where the family was defeated when Qin destroyed Shu. This is also the ancient battlefield of Zhang He's fierce battle in the late Ming Dynasty. Before liberation, Jiangkou was one of the main docks of Minjiang River. At night, oil lamps in residential areas and torches used by pedestrians make the estuary look very spectacular. There is a platform in the pier ladder of Hongshi ladder, which is magnificent and still has charm. Starting from the bridgehead on the east bank of Pengshan Minjiang River Bridge, it is a "pole field", which shows the landscape of "Wuli Long Street winding along the river bank" to the north of Shangjiangkou.

The river in front of the characteristic street town in the scenic spot is not an ordinary river, but the second birthplace of the "Xiamin River" thousands of miles away. Originally, the Minjiang River, which originated at the southern foot of Minshan Mountain in Songpan, entered the Chengdu Plain from north to south, and naturally divided into Fuer River and Naner River, and these two rivers just merged in Jiangkou Town to form the lower reaches of the Minjiang River and went straight to Leshan and Yibin to join the Yangtze River. At the intersection of the two rivers, the town looks at the three rivers, hence the name "Jiangkou" and becomes the first town of Minjiang River.

The "one mountain and two lakes" behind the street town is no ordinary landscape. Shangjiangkou is located at the foot of the famous Pengzu Mountain. Peng Zu, the 800-year-old originator of longevity, has created a miracle of health care that has amazed the world, and the two mountains and lakes lying behind the waves have also unveiled their mystery to the world.

The traffic starts from Meishan at eight o'clock in the morning and arrives at Pengshan in less than half an hour. If you don't stay in Pengshan, walk about 4 kilometers to Jiangkou Ancient Town. There are ancient ruins all over the town, and ancient tombs, ancient shops, diaojiao buildings, ancient banyan trees and other ancient buildings set each other off. You can visit them slowly. If you have enough time in the afternoon, you can also drive to nearby Peng Zu (that is, fairy mountain) and go up the mountain along the 999 Changshou Stone Ladder. On the way, you can visit Pengzu Temple, Peng Zu Tomb, Yangshengtang and Qishan Giant Buddha around 6 pm. If you don't plan to stay in the local area, you can return to Meishan by the same route.
