Tong Pi, the King of Medicine, was the founding hero of the Eastern Han Dynasty and played an important role in the 28th General. In recognition of Tong Pi, Liu Zhuang, the son of Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty, specially ordered a court painter to paint Tong Pi's portrait and hung it in the Nangong Yuntai with the portraits of 28 founding heroes such as Deng Yu.
People all over the world say that the 28 stars in the sky were changed into 28 generals in Yuntai by the orders of the Jade Emperor, and Liu Xiu can pacify the world with the help of some human immortals.
According to the Book of the Later Han Dynasty, Tong Pi is a rare talent for his "one word can prosper the country" and his literary talent is brilliant. After Tong Pi helped Liu Xiu pacify follwed, he was appointed as Quyang county magistrate. He is honest and clean, and he is good at pharmacology. He often walks out of the yamen with a medicine box on his back, disguised as a traveling doctor, and treats the poor people. The curative effect is very remarkable and deeply loved by the people. He is honored as a "magic doctor".
In Anguo, people have been telling a story from mouth to mouth: One year, when Tong Pi went to the capital and walked through the city gate, he happened to meet the guards who posted the imperial edict. It turned out that the emperor's favorite princess had a strange disease, and the imperial doctors in the palace could not find the cause.
Watching my beloved daughter fall asleep all day because of illness, her face turned pale and she couldn't eat anything. Her life is at a critical juncture, and the emperor is really worried. In desperation, the emperor ordered the imperial list to be posted in the streets and alleys of the city to seek famous doctors all over the world. In the imperial order, the emperor promised that "no matter which famous doctor can cure the princess's illness and want wealth, he can reward his daughter;" If you are willing to marry a princess and become a prince, you can choose a day to get married after the princess is ill. "
After seeing the imperial list, Tong Pi confidently reached out and took off the imperial list, and entered the palace with the guards. After careful observation, smelling, asking and feeling, Tong Pi gradually understood the reason why the princess was ill.
It turned out that the princess was spoiled from childhood, with constant delicacies and lack of necessary exercise, which led to indigestion and anorexia. Afraid of being blamed by the emperor, the doctor in Taiyuan Hospital smartly prescribed a prescription for nourishing the princess with ginseng, velvet antler and other medicinal materials. As a result, the princess's illness worsened, and the poor princess was tortured by a group of quacks.
Tong Pi, who found the illness, returned to the post office and rubbed it with his fingers. Not bad, Tong Pi's body is "clean" enough. Soon he rubbed out a big pill made of sludge and sent someone to the princess.
After Tong Pi presented the pill, he was afraid that the emperor would know the secret of the pill and blame him. That night, he secretly fled the capital and trotted back to his hometown of qi zhou.
After the princess took the pill, her stomach turned badly and she couldn't help vomiting. She threw up in a mess. Seeing this, the faces of the emperor, queen, cure too much and eunuchs all changed and were frightened!
Who knows that after the princess vomited, she slowly began to eat a small amount of porridge. A few days later, the princess regained her normal appetite and her face became ruddy.
The emperor looked at the lively princess, read Tong Pi's exploits in treating the princess, and ordered Tong Pi to be summoned, but Tong Pi had already left. So, the emperor ordered people to recover Tong Pi's hometown, and named Tong Pi as the King of Medicine in his hometown, Qishou Temple. In this way, Tong Pi was honored as the "King of Medicine" by the world.
Since the temple built by Tong Pi was dedicated, ordinary people have often sought the help of the King of Medicine to relieve their pain or seek some prescriptions for getting rid of diseases and keeping in good health. Many good men and women often travel thousands of miles to make incense, and the incense is very strong.
Some drug dealers who buy and sell medicinal materials saw huge business opportunities and took the opportunity to start business here, gradually forming the temple fair of medicinal materials on April 28 of the lunar calendar. At this time, merchants from all directions gathered here to trade with department stores and became the largest market for medicinal materials at that time. Although it has been a hundred years, the lively scene is still the same as that of that year, forming the saying that "Anguo grows grass as the first medicine, and qi zhou crude medicine as the first fragrance".
From 65438 to 0404, based on the scale of Wang Yao Temple in Lin 'an period of Song Dynasty, Judy, the Yongle Emperor of Ming Dynasty, further expanded the Wang Yao Temple centering on Tong Pi's tomb. Later, after the renovation of the Ming and Qing emperors, the Wang Yao Temple we saw was gradually formed.
Wang Yao Temple Group covers an area of more than 3,200 square meters and sits east to west. It consists of memorial archway, horse hall, bell and drum tower, Wang Yao tomb pavilion, monument room, ten famous medical halls, Wang Yao main hall and back hall, and its structural framework is very rigorous.
When you enter Wang Yao Temple, the first thing you see is the huge stone tablet of Wang Yao Temple hanging above the mountain gate. According to historical research, it was specially inscribed by Liu Yong, a university student of Dongge during the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty.
In addition, Anguo Wang Yao Temple has its unique characteristics, which breaks the tradition that the temple faces south and faces east and west. Outside the mountain gate, the architectural style of double-eaved roof is adopted, and golden glazed tiles cover the whole four-poster and three-door colored wood archway. Under the sunshine, the four gold-painted characters of "Fairy Hebei" on the plaque in the temple became more solemn.
On both sides of the plaque are the horse halls, with four soldiers holding red horses and white horses on both sides. Behind the horse hall is the second floor of the bell and drum, which passes through the three hanging doors between the first and second hospitals, that is, the handwriting corridor. Surprisingly, what is listed in front of the hall is nothing more than the tomb of the king of drugs and the tomb pavilion of tombstones, and the top ten famous medical halls are listed on the north and south sides respectively.
The main hall is the main hall of Wang Yao Temple, where a full-length statue of Wang Yao in a dragon robe is enshrined. It is dignified and kind, overlooking all beings who worship it. On both sides of the King of Medicine are eight energetic military commanders, which virtually increases the solemn atmosphere in the temple. The main hall is resplendent and beautifully carved, all covered with glazed tiles. Under the irradiation of the sun, it shines brightly, emitting dazzling brilliance.
There are a pair of stone lions on each side of the main hall. Two iron flagpoles, about 24 meters long and weighing about 15 tons, stand in front of the stone lion, soaring into the sky like swords.
There are two lifelike golden dragons wrapped around the flagpole, which are in perfect harmony with golden phoenix at the top of the flagpole. A breeze blew, and 24 wind chimes hung around the flagpole creaked, plus couplets inlaid on the flagpole:
Iron tree double flag light shooting bucket;
The gods reached the sky with Puyinder.
It also highlights the solemn and extraordinary melodious temple.
