Why do standing piles make the body very relaxed?
In China Wushu, standing on a stake is a very basic training, that is, the body stands still like a stake, with the aim of being as stable as a stake with roots, rather than standing still. It is also an important part of China Wushu system, which has been paid attention to by practitioners in all previous Wushu schools. So, why can standing piles make people's bodies very relaxed?

As we know, autonomic nerve refers to a pair of nervous systems, sympathetic nerve and parasympathetic nerve in our body. In fact, we can't actively control autonomic nerves, but autonomic nerves will be affected by emotions. The main function of sympathetic nerve is to secrete adrenal medulla to cope with critical state. In a word, sympathetic nerve is excitatory nerve and adrenal medulla is stimulant. Similarly, parasympathetic nerves are nerves that keep people calm, as opposed to sympathetic nerves.

In fact, standing piles can effectively stimulate parasympathetic nerves and keep our bodies calm. When standing a pile, we will not be anxious, nor will we worry about this and that. We only experience breathing and physical feelings quietly. When our hearts calm down, our bodies will naturally feel out of danger and our sympathetic nerves will be less excited. When the sympathetic nerve is not excited and the parasympathetic nerve is stimulated to a certain extent, people will relax, which is the role of standing piles.

Since standing piles can play a relaxing role, how to stand piles in daily life? Generally speaking, the vertical pile is divided into three steps:

Step 1: Keep your feet apart and shoulder width apart.

The second part: adjust the body and mind, relax the body, breathe smoothly and have a peaceful mind.

Step 3: Bend your knees slightly, stand like a squat, put your hands together, the height of your hands is between your chest and abdomen, your fingers are open, your palms are opposite, and your hands are comfortable and spherical.

There are several points to pay attention to when standing piles.

The first is the virtual top strength. The so-called "virtual top collar strength" means holding your head up, as if there is a thread pulling your head, stretching your neck and containing a little chin.

Then the chest is pulled back. When standing in a pile, our hands are like holding a ball. Our breasts are empty and our backs are round, which will make us feel full. If we find this feeling, our breath will not float on it, and it is easy to establish the feeling of abdominal breathing. In fact, the process of standing piles is actually to practice abdominal breathing slowly, which is very beneficial to human health.

Finally, sit on your hips and relax your waist. The so-called "sit on your hips and relax your waist", in which "relax" means to relax your waist when you are in contact, and "sit" means to sit down as much as possible, and your hips are your hip joints. The main purpose of this action is to relax the waist. In daily life, many people like to stand up straight, which will make the waist muscles very tired. In fact, standing pile is to relax the waist, which is very beneficial to relieve the tension of the waist.
