Keep your feet in good health first, just like a lush tree.
The five internal organs of the human body have corresponding projections on the feet. There are 12 meridians connecting human organs, 6 of which originate from the foot, which is the beginning of the foot's three yin and the end of the foot's three yang. There are more than 60 acupoints on the feet to communicate with the internal and external environment.

There are five methods commonly used in pedicure, namely, single index finger fist, thumb push, single index finger hook, thumb press and double finger pliers.

First, single index finger boxing

Single-index finger boxing means that the performer holds the patient's foot with one hand, clenches the fist with the other hand, and bends the 1 and 2 interphalangeal joints of the middle finger, ring finger and little finger, with the dorsal interphalangeal joint (proximal interphalangeal joint) near the middle of the index finger as the application point.

This method is suitable for adrenal gland, kidney, cerebellum and brain stem, brain, heart, spleen, stomach, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, gonad and other plantar reflex areas.

Second, the double-finger pliers method

Main points: The knuckles of the operator's ring finger and little finger 1 and 2 bend 90 degrees and are fixed on the palm. The middle finger is slightly bent and inserted between the toe to be massaged and the other toe as a foil. The knuckle of the index finger 1 flexes 90 degrees, and the ulnar side of the second knuckle (close to the little finger) is placed in the reflex zone to be massaged, and the belly of the thumb is pressed against the radius of the second knuckle of the index finger.

Force point: the flexion and extension of the thumb and knuckles drive the index finger to exert force in the reflection area. The middle finger does not exert force, but it is an auxiliary foil.

Scope of application: cervical push reflex zone and parathyroid reflex zone.

Third, thumb pressing abdomen method

Thumb pressing refers to pressing with the thumb pulp as the focus. This method is suitable for internal rib, external rib, trachea, groin and other reflection areas.

Four, single index finger hook palm method

Main points: The knuckles of the middle finger, ring finger and little finger of the operator bend 90 degrees and fasten the palm, the knuckles of the index finger bend 1, the knuckles of the index finger bend 45 degrees, the pulp of the last knuckle of the index finger points to the palm, the knuckles of the thumb bend slightly, and the thumb and jaw open, forming a posture opposite to the index finger, which looks like a sickle.

Stress point: the radial side of the apex of the index finger 1 knuckle after 90 degrees flexion (near the thumb) or the distal phalanx of the index finger or the radial side of the apex of the second knuckle of the index finger after 45 degrees flexion.

Scope of application: plantar reflex zone, medial reflex zone and lateral reflex zone.

Five, thumb push palm method

Main points: The knuckles of the first finger, middle finger, ring finger, little finger 1 and the second finger of the operator are slightly flexed, and the pulp of thumb is opposite to the other four fingers, with the tiger's mouth wide open.

Force point: radial side of thumb pulp.

Scope of application: medial foot reflex zone, lateral foot reflex zone and dorsal foot reflex zone.
