According to the theory of zang-xiang in TCM, five birds, namely tiger, deer, bear, ape and bird, respectively correspond to the liver, kidney, spleen, heart and lung of human body according to their nature, that is, five birds match the five internal organs.
Tiger plays the main role in the liver, and the five elements belong to wood. Its brilliance lies in claws, which are consistent with the tendons and veins in the body, similar to the gallbladder meridian. Tiger play can effectively regulate the function of the liver through the change of hand shape (palm support, Tiger Claw, fist clenched) and glare of eyes, which can soothe the liver, regulate qi, relax tendons and activate collaterals;
Deer play governs the kidney, and the five elements belong to water, which is full. It combines the skeleton with the bladder meridian, and the deer play makes the whole spine fully rotate through the lateral bending and back arch of the waist, so that the waist, kidney, life gate and du meridian are fully exercised, which has the functions of benefiting qi and tonifying kidney and strengthening the waist and bones.
Bears play with the spleen, and the five elements belong to the soil, and their flowers are in the lips, which are in harmony with the body and stomach. Bears play with waist and abdomen to massage the spleen and stomach, which can regulate the spleen and stomach and enrich the limbs.
Apes play with the heart, and the center of the five elements belongs to fire, in the face, in the body and in the small intestine. Ape play squeezes and relaxes the chest, with various movements, which can nourish the heart, replenish the brain and dredge blood vessels.
Birds govern the lungs, five elements belong to gold, and flowers have hair. In the body and skin, it is similar to the large intestine. The up-and-down movement of the bird's arm changes the chest volume, enhances the oxygen exchange ability, and can replenish the lungs, widen the chest and smooth the qi.
