Enping Hot Springs have large water reserves, high water temperature, good water quality and rich nutrition, all of which belong to health hot springs. Enping Hot Springs are located in three fault zones in South China, and are connected with Conghua Hot Springs, Fogang Yinzhan Hot Springs, Guangzhou Gui Long Hot Springs, Taishan Sanhe Hot Springs, Yangjiang Hot Springs and Wuchuan Hot Springs in the province. Enping happens to be at the intersection of the three major fault zones in South China. At present, the natural temperature of hot spring water in the four developed hot spring scenic spots is between 70℃ and 80℃, and the average daily flow of each hot spring is above 2000 cubic meters.
Enping city actively uses foreign capital and private capital to fully develop and utilize geothermal resources. In recent years, Jinshan Hot Springs, Imperial Capital Hot Springs, Jinjiang Hot Springs and Hot Springs Paradise have been built one after another, which has started the brand of hot spring tourism and moved towards the goal of being the largest and most beautiful hot spring tourism city in China. The layout of hot springs is reasonable and each has its own characteristics. In April, 2002, the organizing committee of the World Health Assembly recommended the Imperial Capital Hot Spring as the world health base. In the same year1February, the National Tourism Administration rated Jinshan Hot Spring Resort as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction; On March 20th, 2003, enping city was named as the first "Hometown of Hot Springs in China" by China Mining Association. In 2004, Jinshan Hot Springs, Didu Hot Springs and Jinjiang Hot Springs were rated as "Top Ten Hot Springs in Guangdong Province", and Jinjiang Hot Springs were also rated as "the most dynamic hot springs in Guangdong Province". In August, 2005, enping city became the first national geopark in China, and the only one with geothermal water as its theme.
