Home low carbon

Don't open the refrigerator door, open it quickly.

The refrigerator is called the "electric tiger". In fact, if you want to "peel off a layer of skin" from its electricity consumption, there are still some simple ways: when using the refrigerator, it is best to reduce the number of times to open the door and open it quickly.

If the door is opened every time 1 sec, the carbon emission will increase by 2.68g.. Open the door 10 times a day, each time 15 seconds, and the carbon emission per day is 402 grams. Open the refrigerator door less than 5 times a day, and a family will reduce emissions by 20 1 g a day. Statistics show that in Shanghai alone, only closing the freezer door of the supermarket can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 45,000 tons in one year.

There is less bath water.

Research shows that no matter what kind of water heater, every time the bath water temperature drops by one degree, each person can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 35 grams per shower.

Shower consumes about 40 liters of water every 10 minute, while bathing needs 180 ~ 270 liters of water. If everyone takes a bath for about 20 minutes, it can save water 170 liters and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 8. 1 kg. When taking a bath, it is best to use a shower with a large nozzle, or change a nozzle that can adjust the size of the water flow and the shape of the water column, so that the flow can be controlled at any time during bathing to achieve the purpose of saving water.

If you take a bath in the bathtub, it is enough to put 1/3 or 1/4 water, otherwise it will cause unnecessary waste.

Store more clothes and soak more.

Soak the dirty clothes for about 20 minutes before putting them into the washing machine, which can reduce the washing time. There is no necessary connection between the foaming amount of washing powder and washing ability. High-quality low-foam detergent has extremely high decontamination ability and is very easy to rinse. If it is a semi-automatic washing machine, when soaking, washing and rinsing, light-colored clothes should be separated from dark clothes in the order from shallow to deep. This can not only prevent dark clothes from dyeing light clothes, but also choose washing time according to the degree of dirt, which is beneficial to saving electricity.

You can't put too few clothes. Generally speaking, each washing machine has a rated capacity (which will be clearly marked in the manual). When the actual washing capacity of the washing machine is 80% of the rated capacity, the efficiency is the highest.

Low-carbon diet

Eat less red meat and reduce carbon emissions.

Everyone eats less pork 1 kg, and the annual emission reduction is 9 1. 1 10,000 tons. Taking beef as an example, different feed, grazing or not, packaging mode, transportation mode and mileage directly affect the derived carbon dioxide emissions. According to FAO data, the carbon emission from meat production accounts for nearly 1/5 of the global greenhouse gas, which is higher than that from automobiles and airplanes. Among them, beef has the highest carbon emission, and the feed required to produce 1 kg edible beef is nearly 40% higher than that of pork with the same weight. Producing 1kg chicken requires 2 ~ 3kg of grain, and 4 ~ 6kg of grain can be converted into 1kg pork, so eating chicken causes far less pressure on the environment than eating pork. According to the National Handbook of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction, each person wastes less than 0.5 kg of pork every year, which can save energy by about 0.28 kg of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide by 0.7 kg. That country can save 353,000 tons of standard coal every year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 9 1. 1.00 million tons.

From a health point of view, it is equally important to eat less meat. Too much fat and protein in animal food will lead to hyperlipidemia, hypertension and other "rich diseases", and at the same time increase the risk of various cancers. In addition, animal food will be polluted many times, and the diet of big fish and big meat will bring more pollutants to the human body.

There are many coarse grains, which are not processed.

Eat more coarse grains. The traditional dietary structure in China is mainly plant-based food, and the way of health preservation also requires people to "eat five grains to fill five dishes" and control their diet, mainly light. According to the recommendation of China Nutrition Society, it is a safe and nutritious choice to eat 250 ~ 400g of cereals, potatoes and miscellaneous beans every day.

And this suggestion coincides with a low-carbon diet. One acre of arable land can be used to grow soybeans, and 60 kilograms of protein can be obtained, which can meet a person's 85-day protein demand; If it is used to grow grain for pigs and then eat pork, only 12kg protein can be produced, which can meet the needs of one person 17 days. Therefore, replacing part of refined rice flour with whole grains will undoubtedly greatly reduce the burden on the natural environment. Moreover, coarse grains are not refined, and the content of vitamins and minerals is 3 ~ 5 times that of refined rice flour, which is more conducive to preventing diabetes and hyperlipidemia.

Less refining, less energy consumption

Choose more natural foods and less processed foods. Complete food, that is, natural food with less processing, less artificial additives and no fertilizers and pesticides, such as eating an apple instead of a glass of apple juice; Eat a potato instead of a bag of chips. Intake of complete and harmless food can obtain direct and abundant nutrition, reduce the huge energy consumption in the process of processing, packaging and storage, which is healthy, low-carbon and environmentally friendly. The fine processing and production of complex and highly processed foods have brought pollution to the earth and caused great harm to environmental protection.

Fine processing means more food additives, and the carbon emissions of these substances are much higher than those of natural foods. For example, hydrogenated vegetable oil can make food crisp and durable. At present, fried chicken, French fries, salted chicken, fried dough sticks, fried instant noodles or baked cakes, biscuits, pies and doughnuts are commonly used in the market. After frying or embrittlement, this kind of food changes the color, fragrance and taste of the food itself, which is more likely to arouse people's appetite and become a standing dish in restaurants, restaurants and even family tables. However, not only the frying process may produce toxic substances, but also hydrogenated vegetable oil itself is harmful to health.

Buy less bottled water, teabags and all kinds of drinks. The production of a bottle of 550 ml bottled water is accompanied by 44 grams of carbon dioxide emissions. The energy consumption ratio of bottled drinking water, barreled drinking water and ordinary boiled water with the same quality is 1500: 500: 1, which means that the carbon dioxide emissions of bottled water and barreled drinking water are 1500 times and 500 times of ordinary boiled water, respectively.
