The Relationship and Story between Cao Cao and Hua Tuo
Doctor-patient relationship, Cao Cao is a patient and Hua Tuo is a doctor who treats him.

According to the Records of the Later Han Dynasty. Biography of Fang Shu "Hua Tuo Biography", in 208 AD, Cao Cao manipulated the political affairs and became the prime minister, in charge of military and political power, so he wanted Hua Tuo to give up all his best friends and stay in the court as his doctor for a long time.

For Hua Tuo, a man whose lifelong ambition is to save the world, he is naturally unwilling to ask him to isolate Yum and serve a powerful person.

What's more, in his early years, Cao Cao avenged his father's death by attacking Tao Qian in Xuzhou, killing tens of thousands of people in Xuzhou, strangling the body and stopping Surabaya. Then even the counties in the soil, summer and autumn said that "there are no pedestrians in the city."

Xuzhou is the place where Hua Tuo practiced medicine and lived in his later years, and shared it with the people, so he was filled with indignation! So he decided to leave Cao Cao and went back to his hometown temporarily for an excuse and never came back. Cao Cao sent several letters, but Hua Tuo refused on the grounds that his wife was ill.

Cao Cao became angry from embarrassment and sent messengers to escort Hua Tuo to Xuchang, and tortured him in the name of inspection. In the face of Cao Cao's arrogance, Hua Tuo was unyielding and determined. Cao Cao was furious and wanted to kill Hua Tuo.

Although Yu Xun has repeatedly remonstrated, it shows that Hua Tuo's medical skill is superb and rare in the world, and human life is of vital importance, so he hopes to be tolerant. But Cao Cao went his own way and ordered him to be put to death in prison.

When Hua Tuo died, he still didn't forget to save the world. He took out the Qingnangjing and gave it to the jailer, saying, "This book has been handed down from generation to generation and can live forever." Prison officials are afraid of sin and dare not accept books. In addition to his grief and indignation, Hua Tuo had to throw medical books into the fire and burn them.

Later, Cao Cao's head wind disease broke out several times, and the doctors were helpless. He still has no remorse. He also said: "If you can cure my illness, you won't treat me. If you want to blackmail me, if I don't kill him, it will be difficult to treat. "

Extended data:

Hua tuo likes reading since he was a child. When I was young, I traveled to Xuzhou and was familiar with all kinds of classics and health preservation. Pei Gui and Qiu Huang Wan recommended or called him out to be an official, but he refused.

He is determined to help the world with drugs and relieve people's suffering. Huatuo's medical practice covers parts of Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong and Henan, and is deeply loved and respected by the masses.

Hua Tuo is not only good at acupuncture, but also has high attainments in obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, miscellaneous diseases of internal medicine and parasitic diseases. His greatest achievement is that during the operation, he developed numbness and successfully let the patient have abdominal surgery under general anesthesia.

Mafeisan is a traditional Chinese medicine anesthetic used for general anesthesia. Hua Tuo invented general anesthesia in the second and third centuries A.D., which was more than 600 years before western doctors used ether or nitrous oxide for general anesthesia. Therefore, Hua Tuo is not only the first person in China, but also the first person in the world to perform abdominal surgery under anesthesia.

According to historical records, Hua Tuo has been able to perform surgery such as tumor resection and gastrointestinal suture. He used surgery to treat diseases that occurred in the body, but these diseases could not be cured by acupuncture and drugs. He let the patient take Mafeisan mixed wine first, and when the patient loses consciousness like a drunkard, he cuts the abdominal wall, if the tumor is removed.

If the disease is in the intestines and stomach, cut off the intestines and stomach, remove the diseased part, sew it up after washing, and apply ointment to the wound. The wound will heal in four or five days, and the patient will recover in about a month.

Hua Tuo also attaches great importance to physical exercise. He believes that proper exercise can help digestion, smooth qi and blood, not only prevent diseases, but also prolong life. That's the truth.

On this basis, he imitated the movements of tigers, deer, bears, apes and birds, and created the "Five Birds Play". His disciple, Upp, insisted on practicing in this way. When he was over 90 years old, he could still hear and see, and his teeth were strong.

Hua Tuo had many medical books in his life, but unfortunately none of them have been handed down, which is a great loss for China medicine. The scriptures in Tibet and the secret biography of Dr. Hua Jian, which we see now, were written by later generations under the guise of others, not by Hua Tuo.

Hua Tuo taught three disciples, Fan Ashan acupuncture, and Upp wrote Upp's Materia Medica and Li Dangzhi's Medicine Record. Now, to study Hua Tuo's academic thought, we have to refer to his student works.
