What happened to the old computer card?
Reason 1: Third-party software

One reason for the computer card may be the installation of third-party software, especially optimization and antivirus software.

So if you must install this kind of software, you must download it from regular channels, and pay attention to avoid installing bundled software when installing.

Reason 2: System background.

When the system or anti-virus software automatically downloads updates in the background, and the anti-virus software kills viruses in the background, it may also cause the computer to get stuck.

1, system update

We can search for Windows updates at our convenience, choose to check for updates manually, or change the usage period.

2. Antivirus software

Take McAfee as an example, we can find the corresponding icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, check the update, and follow the prompts to update and restart.

Reason 3: System garbage.

System cache, operation records, log files, software residues, frequent use without cleaning up garbage may make the computer use more and more cards.

1, disk cleaning

Right-click the disk drive letter, then select Properties-General-Disk Cleanup, select the items to be cleaned, click Clean System Files, and complete and confirm as prompted.

2. Disk defragmentation

Select the disk and right-click Properties-Tools-Optimization. Click Optimize to change the settings and cancel the scheduled operation.

Note: Due to the storage mode and the number of erases, the solid state hard disk (SSD) does not need to be defragmented.

3. Enable storage awareness

The storage awareness function supported by Win 10 1703 and above allows the system to automatically release space by deleting unnecessary files (such as temporary files or files in the recycle bin).

Click Start-Settings-System-Storage and turn on Storage Awareness.

Reason 4: Unused functions

If not, you can turn off some functions to reduce the consumption of limited resources.

1, turn off hibernation

If you don't use the hibernation function at ordinary times, you can turn off the hibernation function and delete the system hibernation file.

① Enter a command prompt in the search box, and select to run in administrator mode in the search results that appear;

② Enter the command in the opened command prompt window:

Powercfg -h off, and then press enter to turn off the system sleep function ~

2, reduce the boot loading startup items.

Click Start-Run Input msconfig-Start in turn to remove unnecessary startup items.
