According to the information released by the People's Government of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Dali Sports Middle School was established on the basis of a junior sports school 1985. It is the only youth sports training center in Dali and the base for training sports reserve talents. It is a characteristic school integrating junior high school, ordinary high school education and vocational high school education.

There are 57 in-service teachers in the school, including 22 cultural teachers, 27 coaches, 7 school doctors 1 person, 7 workers, 7 external coaches and 5 external teachers. Senior title 12, intermediate title 27, junior title 1 1.

Dali Sports Middle School attaches great importance to the construction of coaches. Twenty-seven coaches and seven external coaches are professional athletes who have been engaged in this project for many years and have achieved excellent results in national and provincial competitions.
