The main job of pet beauticians is to clean, trim and design the hair, fingers and claws of pets, so as to beautify the appearance of pets and make them more fashionable and healthy. Professional pet beauticians should be familiar with the characteristics of each breed, and carry out one-to-one appearance design according to the different body shape, hair and habits of pets. Take a pet dog as an example. It takes about one hour to three or four hours to trim the shape at a time, which requires beauticians to have enough patience to deal with uncooperative or stressful pets.
At present, cku (China-Ireland Joint Pure Dog Culture Development Center) and ngkc (Famous Dog Club) are the mainstream in the training and qualification system of pet beauticians. On May 20th, 20021year, the light industry vocational ability evaluation center of China Light Industry Federation started the compilation and revision of three national vocational skills standards for pet health nurses, pet trainers and pet beauticians, which established norms for the industry.
