The characters in the play are the first regiment of the 87th Division of the National Army.

According to Iqiyi's inquiry, the division was portrayed as an elite unit in the play, with strong combat effectiveness and superb tactical accomplishment. In War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the 87th Division performed well in the Battle of Songhu and made important contributions to defending the country.

Zhou Weiguo is the hero in Snow Leopard. Originally named Zhou Wen, he was originally a cynical rich boy, but he was full of enthusiasm. During his stay in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, in order to protect his first girlfriend Rola Chen, he shot and killed a Japanese, so he changed his name to Zhou Weiguo and embarked on the revolutionary road.
