What do you mean by OEM?
Question 1: What does OEM mean? It is a factory that specializes in receiving processing orders from some factories, and does not make its own brands. For example, Foxconn is a typical foundry. It makes mobile phones, computers and pads for Xiaomi, Huawei, medium-sized and Apple, and does not make its own brands.

Question 2: What does OEM mean? OEM refers to a factory that processes some brand products, namely OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). The profit model of OEM mainly depends on scale effect and low labor cost, but it can't be strong because it doesn't have its own brand and core technology, and it always faces various development difficulties. The general development model of these foundries is to find the next low-cost land.

Question 3: What does "OEM" mean? Stop copying, okay? Dan has a headache. OEM is very simple, just find someone to help him. It's just something from a big manufacturer, so find some small factories to do it, but the difference between putting up a big brand and the target is just like that between imported BMW and domestic BMW.

Question 4: What does "OEM" mean? OEM: Generally speaking, it is a factory/enterprise that helps others to do processing. Also called OEM (original equipment manufacturer) does not design its own products, but only helps other brands to produce and not sell them.

There may be several reasons for OEM factories to make their own brands:

1, do not want to be stuck by downstream enterprises (brands);

2. Seeing that your OEM brand is very successful, you are not satisfied with being a factory, but want to be a brand and are eager to be great;

3. Not satisfied with only earning processing fees, but wanting to gain more profits through brand operation;

The future domestic market is very optimistic. Now the strength of domestic brands is not high, and there are opportunities for factories to enter as brands.

Question 5: What does OEM mean? OEM is to produce on behalf of others. That is, it is produced by the original equipment manufacturer (= original equipment manufacturer) or OEM, and then sold under the brands of other companies.

OEM is a common phenomenon in China, which can be understood as the general trend of separation of production and marketing in the international division of labor environment. But relatively speaking, although the main engine factory can avoid many distractions in sales and concentrate on the production under orders, it can't share the brand value. Therefore, in the international division of labor, the client is still in a subordinate position and the profit rate is low. For example, the Foxconn labor incident can be understood as OEM, with low passive profits, which actually sacrificed the rights and interests of most bottom-level workers.

Question 6: What does OEM mean? The so-called "OEM" actually involves two parties, one is the entrusting party and the other is the OEM. Moreover, there are two modes of "OEM", one is OEM and the other is ODM. Considering that ordinary netizens may not be familiar with these two concepts, we will use the examples of "making" and "selling" cake business around us to illustrate what OEM and ODM are.

What is OEM?

If you sell your own cakes, and the cakes you sell are produced by yourself, you have registered a patent brand name. When you first sold cakes, you were a novice in this business, so even if your cakes were delicious, your reputation was not big enough, so your sales were average. Therefore, depending on the manufacturing capacity of your store, you can earn as much as you sell. But because your cake is really delicious, your reputation in the industry is getting bigger and bigger, and more and more people buy your cake, so the sales volume has increased dramatically. Since your store has only so much production capacity for the time being, it is impossible to complete the sudden increase in a large number of production tasks, so what should you do? At this time, you can find a colleague who makes cakes to help you make them. At this time, you need to explain to them what kind of requirements you have for these cakes, let your colleagues help you make them according to your own requirements, and finally put on your own brand, and then give them some rewards. This is actually a form of OEM.

In another case, we all know that cakes need to be packaged, so although you can make cakes in your own shop, you can't do packaging, so you can design them yourself or directly find a packaging manufacturer to design them, and then make a unique packaging image of your own brand. You can also directly use the packaging styles of those manufacturers and directly label your own brand. You don't need to design it yourself or ask them to redesign it. This is another form of OEM.

Generally speaking, the so-called OEM means that Company A is entrusted to produce products for other companies, and does not use its own brand, nor is it responsible for the sales of these products, but only processes and produces them for the entrusted company, or produces them in full accordance with the design and technological requirements of the entrusted company.

What is ODM?

It doesn't matter if you haven't made a cake before or if you are a cake maker, that is to say, it doesn't matter if you have the ability to make and produce cakes independently. In short, now you see that another company is also doing cake business (whether it has its own brand or not) and has designed and manufactured a cake style that you are very satisfied with, so you want to buy the patent of this product from it and put it on the market under your own brand name. So you can discuss with him, ask him if he can put this product on your brand, and then how much do you pay him to reach an agreement. Good products may often be liked by many people, so there may be another person B who likes this cake as much as you, so he also talks about cooperation with the store like you, so B later owns this product like you, and may also be labeled as B's own brand. But if this happens, there will be some strong competition for your interests, and because this cake is very easy to sell in the market, you don't want others to sell this cake at the same time to compete for your interests, but you want to occupy this product yourself. What should you do? There is a way, that is, you must pay more money to buy all the patents for the production of this cake, and ask it not to provide this cake for others to produce, but only for you. But only if you can provide enough funds to make it willing to produce only for you. This is ODM.

In another case, even a well-known cake brand can design and manufacture cakes by itself, but someone else D can design and manufacture some cakes that make it very satisfied, so it can consult with D, buy out the design and manufacture of this cake, and then sell it under its own brand name. It is forbidden for D to sell this cake to others or use D's own name.

To put it simply, ODM means that company A designs and manufactures several projectors, and then one or several projectors are favored by other companies, so other companies will talk about cooperation with company A, buy a certain number or buy out the production of this product. After the transaction is completed, other companies have the right to make some amendments to the products. Company A needs to make some improvements to these products according to the requirements of the entrusting company, but it does not use the brand of Company A, and Company A is not responsible for product sales.

Question 7: What does OEM mean? OEM is to produce and process on behalf of others. Generally, small enterprises receive subcontracting orders from large enterprises, and then produce a commodity according to the production standards of processing technology and production methods given by large enterprises.
