Regarding compression, after starting the virtual machine, right-click vmware tools in the tray area, find the contraction item, select the partition to be compressed, and click Prepare for Shrinking to prepare for compression.
After that, it will jump to the real system, and a progress bar will appear for compression. Can be completed ~ ~ ~
It should be noted that the compression function has some restrictions, such as it cannot be used on virtual machines with pre-allocated space, there can be no snapshots, only partitions can be compressed, and physical disks cannot be compressed.
After compression, your disk usage can be reduced by at least 1/3 to 1/2. Friends who use virtual machines should try it quickly (see photo).
It is best to use it often, especially when the remaining space is still relatively large, because it is impossible to lose weight when the remaining space is small, and the process needs a lot of remaining space.
