From the positioning point of view, GLG is a sport version of Land Rover Range Rover, and GLG can also be regarded as an off-road enhanced version of GLS, but Mercedes-Benz has created a brand-new car series specifically for this market segment. Therefore, GLG is likely to be equipped with Mercedes-Benz G-class adjustable air suspension and three central differential locks. After all, it is also a G in name. A longer rear suspension is likely to provide a third row of seats, so a 6-seat or 7-seat layout is logical. The possible choices of power system are four-cylinder, six-cylinder, eight-cylinder and 90Kw plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. GLG combines the luxury and comfort of GLS with G-class hard-core off-road. GLB based on GLA platform looks like a medium-sized SUV visually. Compared with GLA style, GLB looks tougher and seems to have off-road ability more worthy of the title of SUV. Longer wheelbase, higher roof and vertical back door are all for the convenience of getting on and off the third row of passengers, and such a large space means more trunk space for a five-seat car, which is more suitable for doing some shameful things. GLB will be equipped with 9-speed DSG gearbox and pure electric mode. The total power of 60kWh and 150kWh can keep the battery life around 400km. At the same time, GLB will also integrate more autopilot functions. Mercedes-Benz hopes to get a bigger cake in the field of autonomous driving through GLB.

The appearance of the new GLA is obviously derived from the A-class platform. Since the family sales volume is C, Class C will also become the first vehicle to install the next generation of automatic driving assistance system after Class S, and the automatic driving level will reach L3.
