The design of orange orange is Yichang's iconic product, Yichang tangerine, which symbolizes a sweet and beautiful future. The water waves and mountain elements on the forehead show the geographical characteristics of Yichang, which is located in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. Mascots wear sportswear and sneakers and hold high the torch of the Games, which has distinctive sports characteristics. The flame of the torch evolved from the number "16", which is the number of sessions of this Games.

Orange Orange's posture of running with open arms shows the vigor and vitality of Yichang people. A happy smile gives people affinity, and the eyes looking down are full of expectation. Gold represents enthusiasm, while green, white and blue explain the concept of "integration, openness, green, frugality and honesty", which is in line with the image positioning of the 16th Hubei Games.
