Plot introduction

Dangers we don't know have been lurking under the thick ice in the Antarctic circle. They are quietly lurking, ready to start, until human footsteps wake them up. ...

Billionaire Charles Vilander (played by lance henriksen) discovers an ancient pyramid-shaped temple buried thousands of feet under Antarctic ice through his thermal imaging satellite. It is estimated that the Aztec temple was built before the Egyptians built the pyramids. In order to verify his findings, Charles set up an elite expedition led by Lex Wood (Shana Rashan) to visit the South Pole.

The expedition inadvertently awakened the sleeping aliens, causing them to lay eggs and reproduce in large numbers, and the expedition was in danger. To make matters worse, the iron warrior who was once regarded as a god by the Aztecs also came here at this time. Five bloodthirsty and iron-blooded warriors once again started the hunting game of looking for aliens on the battlefield earth, which is different from what they did for fun before 2000. Aliens are more numerous and more effective. Iron warriors have stealth and thermal detection capabilities, and their iron fists can pop up Wolverine-like swords at any time. As his opponent, the alien not only has strong attack power, but also contains strong corrosive acid in his blood and body, which is the nemesis of the iron body of the iron warrior.

This is our planet, but now it has become a battlefield for two kinds of alien creatures to "fight other animals". Explorers who were passively involved in this war experienced the most cruel battle in human history. Because in this war, human beings can't be bystanders. No matter which side of the two monsters wins, it means the disaster of all mankind. Now only blowing up the temple can make this disaster disappear, so the weakest human beings in the battle began the invincible war in their movies.

Behind the scenes production

Alien+Steel Warrior

From 65438 to 0979, the 20th century Fox Company released Alien directed by ridley scott, which not only received rave reviews, but also opened a new era of science fiction movies, thus becoming an unquestionable classic. Subsequently, Alien 2, Alien 3 and Alien 4 directed by James Cameron, david fincher and jean pierre jeunet came out one after another. 1987, Fox created an iron warrior from outer space and conquered the audience again with the sci-fi plot of alternative violence. The launch of the sequel is logical. 1/The 4th century has passed, and Fox has combined aliens and iron warriors into one. This "Alien vs Iron Warrior" has become the most anticipated face-changing work in the history of science fiction.

It took nearly 10 years to write the idea of Alien vs. Iron Warrior into a script and put it on the big screen. Fox lingered in various storylines until director and screenwriter paul anderson put forward his own ideas. Producer john davis said, "In a few years, I heard more than 40 stories conceived by screenwriters until Paul came to us with his own story. He put human beings in the whirlpool of fighting between aliens and iron warriors, and we were completely attracted. "

In fact, this idea existed as early as Anderson's film career. Anderson recalled: "About nine years ago, just for fun, I had the idea of making a movie about aliens and steel warriors. At that time, I was attending Sundance Film Festival with my debut film "Crazy Chasing", and I felt that I would never make a movie like AVP. "

"Eight years later," Anderson continued, "Fox began to plan to shoot such a film, and then they invited me for an interview. Our ideas coincide, and this time I think I will never miss the opportunity to realize my ideal again. " According to the idea of producer Davis, it is particularly important to find a director who knows both aliens and iron soldiers. As a huge fan of Alien and Iron Soldier, Anderson has watched these two movies hundreds of times, and he can repeat any scene from memory. Enthusiastic Anderson became the best choice for film director.

In order to make the plot conform to the story development logic of Alien and Iron Soldier in the past, Anderson carefully searched every detail in the memory ditch of his brain. For example, in Iron Warrior 2, an alien's skull appeared in the trophy of the Iron Warrior, and it can be inferred that the two have met before. Anderson designed the iron warrior to visit the earth thousands of years ago. They were worshipped as gods, which had a far-reaching influence on some ancient civilizations, just like the Aztec and Mayan civilizations, which coincided with the interior of the alien spacecraft in Iron Warrior 2.

At the same time, Anderson also created a character closely related to Alien, that is, the industrial giant Charles Bishop Velander (played by Lance Henriette, who has appeared in Alien 2 and Alien 3). Alien fans must be familiar with Bishop Vilander, a biochemical priest in Alien 2 and Alien 3, and Vilander is from. Anderson said: "Vilander made a lot of money by joining high-tech enterprises. He is the father of modern robots, so the biochemical priest created after 150 kept his appearance."

Alien vs. Iron Warrior: Strength Competition

In the 20th century, Fox Company had two blockbuster films: Alien and Iron Warrior. 1979, ridley scott's Alien was just released, which was applauded by film critics and audiences. The success of this film directly led to three sequels (directed by James Cameron, david fincher and Jean-Pierre Genet respectively). 1987, another film, The Iron Soldier, was released (directed by john mctiernan, the most famous film is Die Hard Rowen Rowen). Arnold, a hardcore action star, is bursting with popularity, and the "jungle showdown" makes people excited. However, subsequent sequels did respond to the old saying that "the dog's tail follows the mink". The juxtaposition of Alien and Iron Warrior mainly comes from Alien vs Predator, a comic book of the same name published by Dark Horse Comics, which not only formed a series of games, but also produced many comic products.

Aliens. Aliens

Alien life begins with the egg laid by the queen ant, and there is an eight-legged sucker in the egg. At that time, the sucker will be adsorbed on the suitable mother, the embryo will be implanted into the mother, and then the snake larva will break out of the mother. After molting and growing up, it can walk in the "rivers and lakes" with a fierce and horrible attitude. The usual trick is to "catch two bites and three tails".

Ghost claw: Alien claw is extremely sharp and is often used to shred prey.

Cyclone tail: Sharp tail is also a very deadly weapon, and it is either dead or injured wherever it goes.

Big teeth burst: there is absolutely no tooth decay, and every tooth is shiny and sharp. Usually you can't see when aliens shut up, so this tooth explosion is very threatening.

Inner nest tooth: It is stronger than outer explosion tooth, and its hardness is equivalent to that of Jin Gangzuan, so it can bite through metal.

Gekko: This is actually a skill of aliens. It can walk close to the wall and ceiling with its claws, which gives it an advantage and can surprise its opponents.

Explosicum strong acid: The spraying process can refer to "Explosicum Peeing Niuwan", and the effect is similar to "carrion powder". This yellow strong acid is extremely corrosive, equivalent to the blood of aliens, and aliens will not give up this capital unless absolutely necessary.

Iron warrior predator

Iron warriors are used to being alone, and hunting is their only pleasure. Every iron warrior will choose his favorite weapon and style to kill his prey. However, they usually think that killing people is the most challenging, and it is very worthwhile to fight close with intelligent and armed humans. The two most famous encounters between human beings and iron soldiers took place in the jungles of Vietnam and Los Angeles respectively. As a result, human beings suffered heavy losses, because the creed of iron-blooded soldiers is "rather die than surrender."

Wrist Knives: The iron warrior has a pair of sharp wrist knives on his forearm, which can be extended and retracted at will. They are mainly used in melee, but they have no protective effect on strong acids.

Bone knife: a dagger, to be exact, made of special-shaped bones. It is used to "deal with a man as he deals with you" and is usually used to peel off the skin and bones of aliens.

Spear: multifunctional spear similar to fishing gun, suitable for both distance and distance in battle, very handy.

Self-destruct bomb: The power is equivalent to a small atomic bomb, and it is the first choice for the weak iron warrior.

Shoulder gun: It is located at the back shoulder of the iron warrior, powered by shoulder electric device, and has laser aiming function.

Disc: shaped like a pair of axes, strong and sharp, can penetrate concrete and can be swung in the hand.

Spinning darts: The saber-toothed tiger darts developed from the disc will be used instead of the disc in this film.

Siege gun: a pistol that fires a metal mesh, which can not only catch prey, but even kill them through their bodies.

Wrist gun: a rocket gun connected to the wrist is even more invincible if the main bomb is used.

Self-treatment: This equipment contains a variety of medical equipment, which can be used to treat and restore physical strength.

Stealth: The most typical function of iron-blooded warriors, but it can't stop the pheromone produced when they move, and it doesn't have waterproof function (it will appear when it meets water).

Mask: It can receive a variety of spectra, and the most familiar one is to track humans through infrared rays. I don't know how to track aliens.

Golden Silk Armor: The mesh beam can protect the iron warrior from the high temperature, but humans can also capture the trajectory while moving.

Our planet, their war.

It took a lot of effort to put Alien vs Iron Warrior on the big screen. In the past ten years, 20th Century Fox Company read more than 40 versions of the script until director and screenwriter paul anderson put forward his own ideas. John davis, the producer, especially liked that he put mankind in the whirlpool of this ultimate war. Nine years ago, Anderson had a whim and put forward the story idea of Alien vs. Iron Warrior. At that time, his film career had just started, and he was taking his debut "Crazy Wanted Order" to Sundance Film Festival. He thought he might never get a chance to shoot Alien vs Iron Warrior in his life. The following year, 20th Century Fox put this film on the agenda, and they invited Anderson to discuss it. Anderson told the original idea again, and this time he got the chance to shoot. To be the director of this film, the key is to be familiar with Alien and Iron Soldier, and paul anderson has seen these two series of films for more than a hundred times, which is completely equivalent to the fans of these two series. He can review every scene in the film from memory, and he will direct Alien vs Iron Warrior, at least to avoid mistakes in principle. But Anderson arranged a new story line for this film. The iron warriors visited the earth thousands of years ago, and they were regarded as gods by human beings, which deeply influenced the Aztec and Mayan cultures in particular. This theory is based on the design of the Iron Warrior spaceship in Iron Warrior 2. Based on this theory, Anderson created two important figures-Charles Bishop Velander and Eliza Woods:

Charles Bishop Velander, an industrial tycoon, was played by Lance Henriette Sen (once participated in Alien 2 and Alien 3, in which the bioroid was a "priest"). Senior alien fans can find that in the name of this character, Velander comes from Weyland-Yutani (the unlucky company that sent people to search for aliens in the first episode of aliens) and Bishop comes from the biochemical "priest" Bishop. Welland made a lot of money by using his high-tech industry, and he is also the father of modern biochemical people, so the biochemical priest created after 150 kept his appearance.

Adventurer Eliza Woods is played by sanaa lathan (as Wesley Snape's mother in oscar pistorius). The Alien series created a strong heroine, Allan Ray Puli (always played by Sydney Weaver). To show respect for the tradition of Alien series, Anderson created another fearless heroine, Alisa Woods.

Wonderful tidbits

Only 30% of the special effects in the film come from CG technology.

Of all the mainstream films made in 2004, the production cycle of this film is the shortest, with only two and a half months of shooting and only four months of post-production.

Max's role in the film was tailored for Colin Selmon.

Shane Salerno is the fifth screenwriter of this film. He participated in the whole process from the initial preparation to the shooting stage and the final post-production in Prague for 15 months, but the American Writers Association did not allow his name to appear on the list of screenwriters.

Mark Verheiden, the character in the film, was named after the author of the comic book Alien vs. Iron Warrior published before the release of Iron Warrior 2 in 1990.

This movie is the first alien movie without sigourney weaver, because she thinks the idea of putting aliens and steel soldiers together is incredible.

According to director paul anderson, the film was shot at the level of R-rated film, but three weeks before the film was released, the producer suddenly decided to edit the film again, thus reaching the level of PG- 13.

Gary busey had hoped to play the role of John in this film.

Director paul anderson had hoped that Schwarzenegger would continue to play the Dutchman in The Iron Soldier, but Schwarzenegger was running for governor at that time, so he had to lose the election to join the film.
