How to set a password for an application? Set application lock (application encryption) for private applications. After the application locking function is turned on, it is necessary to verify the privacy password (or fingerprint and face) before opening the locked application to protect the privacy of the application.

Setting method

Version 1, ColorOS 12 and above: go to "Settings > Permissions and Privacy > (Privacy) > Application Lock", enter the privacy password, select the application to be encrypted, and choose to turn on encryption.

2. version of coloros11.0-1.3: go to settings > privacy > application lock, enter the privacy password, select the application to encrypt, and select to turn on encryption.

3. version 7.0-7.2 of coloros: enter "settings > security > application encryption", enter the privacy password, select the application to be encrypted, and select to turn on encryption.

Access encryption applications

1. Access with privacy password: If encryption is applied, you need to enter the correct privacy password when accessing, otherwise you cannot access the application and view related content;

2. Use fingerprints and face access: You can also use fingerprints and face passwords to open encrypted applications;

After entering the privacy password, click the setting icon in the upper right corner to enter the application encryption setting, and turn on the switch to use fingerprint for application encryption or face for application encryption.

Do not apply encryption (apply locking)

1, ColorOS 12 and later versions: enter "Settings >"; Passwords and security > application lock, enter the privacy password, find the application that opens the application lock, and turn off the switch.

3.ColorOS version 5. 1-7.2: Go to Settings > Security > Application Encryption, enter the privacy password, find the application with the small lock icon, click the application and turn off the password verification switch; ?

Tips:

①? After applying encryption software, no message will be displayed, only "You have a new message" will be displayed;

②? Coloros and above: you can set the application to quit without verifying for a short time, and then open the encrypted application again before locking the screen after quitting, without verifying the application encryption password;

(3) ColorOS 5. 1 and above versions need to set a privacy password before using "Application Encryption";

④ Coloros11-1.3 version: application encryption was renamed as application lock, and a shortcut switch of application lock was added in the control center, through which users can quickly open/close the application lock.

⑤ ColorOS 12 and above: enter Settings > Passwords and Security > Fingerprint, enter the screen lock password, open the "Application Lock" in the "Use Fingerprint Data" module, and unlock the application lock with the fingerprint password.
