Gaotang Temple in Dayi was built in the first year of Xiaowu in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (376 ~396), more than 0/600 years ago. Looking at the mountains like a reclining Buddha; Looking from afar, the back hill looks like Lohan Buddha.
Along the stone steps, there are buildings such as Jiefeng Hall, Guanyin Hall, Wei Tuo Pavilion, Daxiong Hall, Xiandian Hall, and Tibetan Classics Building.
Outside the temple, the cypress towering, the town south green, white clouds curled up, castle peak faint.
"The magic lamp flies in the high hall at sunset" is one of the eight ancient scenes in Dayi. "Sichuan Historical Records" and "Dayi County Records" contain: When the wind is clear and the moon is bright, there are countless golden jars, crystal clear, shining in the forest. It's sunny, watching the holy light at night and flying in the forest. This is an eternal miracle. Coupled with the legend of Huaying (the ancestor of Bodhisattva) Xianchi, Locking Dragon Bridge, Cutting Dragon Sword and Longdong, Gaotang Temple is even more magical.
It is said that during the "Mountain Festival" from May 28 to June 28 of the lunar calendar every year, the mountains and fields are full of people. Just like rubbing shoulders and heels, tourists are woven.
Wen Tong, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, once wrote a poem: "It is a bit incomplete to borrow a room and lie down and watch the niche lamp."
