1. For the recycle bin on the computer, this will be the first reason why the space on drive C will become smaller and smaller. When we delete some files on the computer, these files will be temporarily stored in the recycle bin. If not completely deleted, these temporarily deleted files will occupy the space of drive C. Usually, the more files are not completely deleted, the more space will be occupied on drive C. After these files temporarily stored in the recycle bin are completely deleted, the space of drive C of the computer will also increase accordingly. Of course, there is another problem to note here: usually the recycle bin defaults to 10% disk.
2. The second reason is that you need to find out whether your computer has disabled this setting of system restore, because the system restore setting will reduce the space of drive C to a certain extent, so if you find that it has not been disabled, please disable this setting immediately.
3. The third reason is related to page file and virtual memory. Generally speaking, the page file is relatively large. If the page file is stored in drive C, and many programs will be called at the same time because of the need, then the page file will continue to expand and the virtual memory of the computer will reach a certain limit. So you need to adjust the task manager at any time to see if the computer's memory is running out. If so, it should be transferred to another disk.
4. For temporary files, this will be the fourth reason why the memory of drive C is getting smaller and smaller. Generally speaking, there are two ways of temporary files, one is the Internet, and the other is the files in the temp folder in the same directory. However, I suggest that you use the disk cleaner that comes with the C disk system to clean up junk files like this, because it will not delete files that should not be deleted by mistake, which greatly avoids the degree of human error.
Installing software is something we can't avoid, and it is also the last reason why the C disk system is getting smaller and smaller. Although sometimes when installing software, you will choose to install it on other disks, but don't forget that there are many registered items when installing a software, and the files that need to be called in the system folder are also very large, which will lead to smaller and smaller space capacity of drive C. So I suggest that you don't install too much software on the system disk.
