The story of Sun Simiao and Hulutou Paomo is widely circulated among Xi people. Hulutou paomo is one of the famous foods in Xi. Interestingly, outsiders often think that the gourd head is the gourd head, as the name suggests. In fact, it is a kind of meat dish, and the basic raw material is pig's stomach. It is said that Hulutou Paomo is a snack invented by the famous doctor Sun Simiao.
According to legend, Hulutou originated in the Tang Dynasty. When Sun Simiao, a famous doctor, went to a pork sausage shop in Chang 'an to eat fried white sausage, he found that it was fishy and greasy, which was caused by improper production, so he taught the production method and seasoning formula and left the medicinal gourd to the store.
Since then, this gourmet rice has become extremely delicious, and the business of that small shop is getting better and better. Shopkeepers hung Sun Simiao's medicine gourd on the lintel as a sign of showing off, so people called the fried sausage "gourd head". On the other hand, it is named because the head of the large intestine is shaped like a gourd head with a curved handle.
