Hydrogen is green and environmentally friendly, but it is flammable, explosive and easy to leak. There is no precedent for the successful use of hydrogen as torch fuel in previous Winter Olympics. In order to fit the curved shell design of the hand-held torch in the Winter Olympics, under the condition of limited internal space, researchers boldly innovated and adopted targeted design and lightweight technology to "slim down" the whole combustion system and make room to ensure sufficient fuel storage. At the same time, in order to ensure the high reliability of the torch burning process, the researchers adopted the concept of space design.
