Objectives of the Fourth National Survey of Traditional Chinese Medicine Resources;

Through the general survey, we will basically find out the background of Chinese medicine resources, establish a database of Chinese medicine resources general survey results, and build an information network service platform; Put forward the overall planning suggestions for the management, protection, development and utilization of traditional Chinese medicine resources; Establish a dynamic monitoring system and early warning mechanism for traditional Chinese medicine resources.

There are four specific tasks. First, carry out a general survey of traditional Chinese medicine resources in counties, understand the family background of traditional Chinese medicine resources all over the country, and provide basic data for the protection and rational development and utilization of traditional Chinese medicine resources in countries (provinces and counties).

The third is to establish a seed seedling breeding base and a germplasm resource base for Chinese herbal medicines to ensure the quality of Chinese herbal medicines from the source and promote the breeding and protection of rare and endangered Chinese herbal medicines. The fourth is to investigate the traditional knowledge related to Chinese medicine resources, and to excavate, inherit and protect the traditional knowledge related to Chinese medicine resources.
