Seeking the graduation thesis of authorware courseware

Multimedia courseware, with rich audio-visual information, vivid graphics, images and high-tech expressions, simplifies the teaching content, turns the macro into the micro, with vivid images, creates situations and writes papers, and embodies theoretical learning, problem-assisted learning, interest-stimulating and collaborative learning in teaching, so that students can change from passive learning to active learning, from individual independent learning to group cooperative learning, and from copying learning to creative learning [1]. In this paper, Authorware7.0 software and Fireworks8.0 are used to make animation, and various teaching media and teaching methods are organically combined to complete the courseware design of electronic measurement technology.

Design of 1 courseware

"Electronic Measurement Technology" is a professional basic course for electronic information, applied electronics, automation and other majors in higher vocational education, and it is also a course with many new knowledge points. According to the characteristics of vocational education, we edited the planning textbook Electronic Measurement Technology published by Electronic Industry Press in 2003. At present, the textbook has been printed seven times, with a print run of 30,000 copies. Therefore, from the teaching point of view, considering that the textbook has been widely recognized, the courseware content is based on this book, covering the whole book Electronic Measurement Technology 12 chapters, and drawing on the original experience based on PowerPoint courseware, each chapter is self-contained and divides knowledge points according to the syllabus; Secondly, the courseware should have a good user interface and audio-visual effect, and the computer hardware used in the courseware is relatively compatible with the software development environment, which is convenient for upgrading and expansion.

1) scripting

Writing detailed scripts is an important link in the whole multimedia courseware development process, which closely links courseware design and production and becomes an important basis for courseware production. Scripts for writing graduation thesis include interface design, interaction design and style design [2].

Interface is the display area of teaching information on the screen, and it is also the user's operation area. When designing, we mainly emphasize the idea of "teaching for learning" and focus on the teaching content, which not only prevents the courseware interface color and audio-visual effect from being too strong to distract attention and affect the learning content; We should also consider some contents of the course, such as the abstract and boring internal circuit of the instrument, and the characteristics that students need sensory stimulation to stimulate their interest.

At the same time, we realize that the powerful vitality of multimedia courseware is mainly reflected in the interactive ability, such as clicking a special link setting on the screen, which can easily jump between different objects. In this design, two navigation structures are created. One is to use the "navigation" icon to point to a page in the frame icon to realize the jump and call inside the program. The other is to browse and turn pages between different pages through the navigation controls embedded in the "frame" icon. In addition, interactive performance can be achieved by setting corresponding hypertext links.

In style design, it mainly reflects the overall harmony and unity of interface, subtitles and display objects.

2) Design of frame structure

Before editing, considering more text input, the function of turning pages can be realized only by using the "interactive" icon, but it is more troublesome to write a master's thesis, and it is not enough to find pages and specify fixed pages. Therefore, it is much more convenient to use the "frame" icon and "navigation" icon for text browsing [2].

The "Frame" icon and the "Navigation" icon are closely related and often used together. The navigation structure provides a way to select the path, and can automatically jump to the specified target page according to the settings; The Frame icon makes it easy to design pages with graphics, sounds, animations and other components. Most importantly, a set of navigation controls are embedded in the "frame" icon, which makes it easier to turn pages back and forth between pages.

After the design of the basic frame structure is completed, some places have been edited, such as changing the position and icon of control buttons, setting buttons to prevent line breaks, and editing the entry and exit of the screen. To make it more suitable for the use of courseware.

2 the use of a variety of media materials

To realize the richness of multimedia courseware content, it is essential to use a variety of media materials. Among them, words, graphics and images are the most basic elements, in addition to sound, animation, video and other media information. Considering the characteristics of vocational education, such as "downplaying theory, making full use of it, cultivating skills and paying attention to application", we think that the explanation of measurement principle should try to highlight basic concepts, be easy to understand, and write a summary for self-study, so this part of the courseware is mainly in the form of words and pictures, which is more detailed; The measurement method should emphasize operability and application, and the design should focus on video demonstration; For measuring instruments, the working principle and composition block diagram are mainly introduced, and animation and web content are the main contents in the design. The whole courseware design strives for the rational layout of multimedia resources, so that it not only meets the requirements of teaching materials, but also highlights the characteristics of multimedia.

1) text input

Authorware can directly input external text into it, but one of its characteristics is that it has certain restrictions on the input format of text and can only input files in TXT and RTF formats [3]. For documents that are not in this format, if you use conventional direct input, it will inevitably take up a lot of time, which is not conducive to the development of courseware. Therefore, with the help of the system clipboard, text is added by copying and pasting. When the text is too long or the input text is too long, it will be more convenient to preview by using the scrolling text input method.

2) Application of pictures

Simple diagrams can be drawn by using the drawing toolbox of the system itself, but the course of Electronic Measurement Technology can't meet the actual requirements only by relying on the drawing toolbox, such as a large number of instrument schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, dashboard diagrams and so on. The first method we adopt is to use the function of inserting external objects provided by Authorware7.0 to transform the original productions such as Protel99SE, Word and LabVIEW. Into the form of pictures, and rewrite medical papers to enrich the raw materials for design.

3) Add background music

Authorware7.0 system can support many types of sound file formats, such as WAV, SWA, AIFF, PCM, MP3 and so on. [3]. When making courseware, you can insert audio and set sound playback through the "sound" icon, such as controlling the number of playback times and setting the playback time and rate. And you can easily quote these sound materials and add them to the courseware. Introducing background music into courseware has its advantages, but not everyone likes music. Therefore, by setting the "calculate" icon and button response, the button activation code is written, so that users can click the corresponding button according to their own wishes when playing courseware, and realize the conversion between sound and silence [4].

4) The call of animation

Animation is an indispensable part of multimedia works and a bright spot in design. Authorware itself can only make two-dimensional animation, that is, the animated object can only move in one plane, which greatly reduces the demonstration effect. But this doesn't mean that Authorware can't demonstrate 3D animation, but can demonstrate 3D animation made by other software by inserting files. At the same time, the system itself also provides a variety of page switching functions, and the ideal effect can be achieved by using various external and internal resources.

There are many softwares for animation, and they all have their own characteristics. Choosing the right creative tool is the key to successful design. By consulting relevant materials, we know that Authorware system provides support for GIF animation images, which can be applied to courseware. GIF animation is a special image format, which contains multiple frames of images. These images are displayed alternately according to a certain time frequency, so as to achieve the effect of animation display. Specifically designed by Macromedia Fireworks 8.0. One way to make animation in Fireworks is to create the illusion of motion by creating components and constantly changing their properties. When all the frames are played in sequence, it becomes an animation [5].

5) Smart objects and digital movies

Smart objects are like a logical package inserted into Authorware works. It is a powerful development tool. Its difference lies in its connection with the guide. The wizard can provide the setting interface for Authorware works, write the topic of the paper, and add various modifications, new contents and logical relationships where smart objects are inserted. It can make seemingly tedious work easier to complete, and even inexperienced developers can complete tasks more easily and effectively. In fact, smart objects have revolutionized multimedia editing. Such as the combination of intelligent objects and digital movies [3]. If we only use the previous method to import digital movies into the courseware, we will add corresponding icons to the streamline for import. When the program is running, the icon will be executed, and the system will pop up the play window directly, which is not conducive to the next operation. However, the adjustment of the playback progress can be easily realized through the intelligent object of the movie controller.

6) Web page links

In the courseware design, considering that some instruments can't be purchased by the school due to high price or other reasons, such as error detector and logic analyzer for digital communication test, the courseware design considers the link between the webpage and the webpage of well-known enterprises, which strengthens students' perceptual knowledge. This function is realized by using URL in Fireworks. Edit the selected hotspot and specify its URL path. Finally, export this URL to realize the link to the specified web page.

The main interface of the courseware is shown in figure 1, and the interface of chapter 1 of the courseware is shown in figure 2.

3 debugging and packaging of courseware

Courseware is mainly made for the teaching material of Electronic Measurement Technology, so in order to facilitate distribution and use, the later work of courseware is debugging and packaging.

Since users will not be allowed to modify the courseware after it is released and packaged, we should eliminate the errors as much as possible before packaging to confirm that the courseware can run normally. Debugging of ghostwriting English papers can be achieved in two ways. One is to use road signs (start/stop signs), and the other is to use the control panel. By using debugging tools, you can control the execution segments of the program flow and execute the design icons in the program flow one by one. Packaging the courseware with the library files in the courseware can improve the performance of the files, reduce the number of published files, make the installation and operation of the final work easier, increase the reliability of the work operation, and avoid errors caused by the failure to find foreign functions or library files during operation.

Packaged courseware can be set up and run in 32-bit operating systems such as Windows95, Windows98, WindowsXP or WindowsNT and Windows2000. The required CPU should be compatible with Pentium 166 or above, the memory should be more than 64M, the hard disk capacity should be 780M, and the graphics card and optical drive supporting DirectX should be more than 8 times faster. In addition, because the size of the presentation window is set to 832*624 pixels, it can be used for displays not less than 16 inch. The courseware can be released after it is made and packaged. When the courseware is published, it must be published together with the external media files or external function files used in the program. Authorware7.0 provides the function of publishing works, which can output all kinds of files and external functions needed for the operation of works to the designated directory, thus forming the final works for distribution [3].

4 conclusion

With the popularization of various multimedia teaching, computer-aided teaching, as an advanced teaching method, is increasingly favored by everyone because of its intuitive, flexible, real-time and three-dimensional advantages. In order to make good use of computer-aided teaching, the key is to design and produce multimedia courseware that meets the teaching requirements [6]. Although our work has been completed, we will certainly find many unsatisfactory places in the process of using it in colleges and universities. We will keep pace with the times and improve our works to better achieve the teaching purpose and teaching effect.
