The Development History of Huilan Yoga
Wei Zhang Lana Whelan (yoga name is Weshinava Darcy) is one of the co-founders of the East-West Yoga Institute. Growing up in Hong Kong, she began to explore and practice yoga seriously when she was only 17 years old. After receiving the inspiration from the accomplished orthodox yoga master Sidas Walup ananda, strict special training and the guidance of other yoga predecessors, she began to teach yoga courses for free all over the country, deeply eager to serve the people of China. She knows that bringing yoga to China is her goal in life.

Out of selfless love, Whelan is willing to share yoga with others, and has never used it for personal gain. She always said: Since she accepted the wonderful gift of yoga more than 30 years ago, she has put herself in the position of serving everyone and sharing yoga with the people of China. This is the only way for her to express and repay her gratitude to the revered Bai Zhongyan. Whelan decided to use TV as the best way to realize her wish. So she started this arduous task, making first-class yoga TV series for the people of China.

In addition to TV series, Huilan also co-authored a 630-page best-selling book Yoga Qigong and Meditation with Bai Zhongyan, a contemporary and profound orthodox yoga master, which has been ranked in the best-selling list of China for more than 20 years every year.

In 1990s, foreign countries began to notice Whelan and her unique yoga practice. Since 1998, her yoga TV series has been broadcast all over the United States through PBS TV network, which has set off a modern yoga craze in the United States. Today, millions of people in dozens of countries have enjoyed or are enjoying Zhang Huilan's award-winning yoga TV series, DVDs, music CDs and books, which makes her one of the most famous yoga teachers in the world.

Orchid products include audio-visual products, books and so on. With deep and sincere concern for the people of China, Ms. Huilan continues her service of spreading yoga, and will publish more and more DVDs, VCDs, music CDs, books, children's yoga products and so on.

Hint: Zhang Huilan, please don't write "Zhang Huilan" or "Zhang Huilan".
