Taiyuan University for the Aged was established in September, 1987. The original campus is located atNo. 1 19, Lane 3, Taoyuan, Taiyuan City, with a school building area of only over 500 square meters. In August 2007, it officially moved into a new teaching building of more than 6,000 square meters invested and built by Taiyuan Municipal Government, and its current address is located at Li Jingang West Lane 1 1 in Taiyuan City. There are 1580 students in this department, including calligraphy, painting, photography, music, dance, health care, cooking, computer, fashion show, English, literature, musical instruments, piano, yoga, etc. 14 majors and 27 courses. The General Art Troupe consists of 14 sub-troupes, including choir, dance troupe, costume art troupe, Jin opera troupe, Beijing opera troupe, ballroom dance troupe, fitness dance troupe, Latin dance troupe and orchestra.
